Yeah, this looks exactly like the place to negotiate a transfer. In front of all of these kids and the Asian family over there. I wonder if Marotta has to pursue them as well?
They didn't talk there, they were talking in this room.

And soon restaurant was closed.

Braking, for the moment. Juventus will have to wait in order to deal effectively Gonzalo Higuain. In today's lunch with Real Madrid, leaders Juventus have officially asked the Argentine to Real. But as he explained Marotta, the answer was clear: in Madrid wait before the new coach (Ancelotti Ancelotti or not), then they will make an appropriate evaluation and at that point will actually sit at a table to treat the figures and details. The lunch so it was linked more to a gala occasion, style Champions League, where of course you could not go into details. But the opportunity to meet for the first time the topic was important, however, without intermediaries, formalizing the request for Higuain (yes its that Juve has already said) and saying he was ready to negotiate when Real will be available once chose the coach. Real not stop dreaming the jewels of the Juve midfield, Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal. But even on this occasion, the leaders Juventus it was confirmed that the two are not on the market. How Higuain, the objective for which'll have to wait again.

Marotta confirmed on Sky Sport that for the time being Higuain isn't on the market. Real will wait for the appointment of a new coach and let him decide if he wants to keep Higuain or not. Only if the new coach gives a green light, we will proceed with the negotiations for Higi.

As if it has never happened before.
It will be even worse this time. No excuses.

If that is their current stance, Arsenal can't do nothing about it either.

It's good that we made an official formal request today and got the ball rolling. We have assets they want too, so we should still be first in line for Higgy.

Reports from the Madrid summit claim Real agreed to instalment payments for Gonzalo Higuain, but Juventus must raise their €22m bid.

A delegation of Bianconeri, including President Andrea Agnelli and directorBeppe Marotta, are in Madrid this afternoon for the charity match between Juventus and Real Madrid legends at the Bernabeu.

Also present were Real Madrid President Florentino Perez and FIFA agent Ernesto Bronzetti, who often acts as an intermediary between Italian and Spanish clubs.

They were pictured having lunch at restaurant Puerta 57, which many assume was also the chance to discuss their interest in Higuain.

The restaurant placed curtains around the table and then closed to the public so the negotiations could continue.

According to the first reports emerging from Italian media, Real Madrid have agreed to the request for payment in instalments.

However, Juve must raise their €22m offer to at least €24m, which is the reported bid from Arsenal.

Footballitalia

It's probably been posted already. But it's funny how some will say they agreed installment payments while some say there's no such thing as a negotiation until they find a new manager. Oh, the media circus....

It was, for the simple reason that there wasn't enough movement in the strikers department. With Falcao leaving for Monaco and Neymar for Barcelona, now it's about who gets Cavani first. If Real lose the battle for Cavani and fail to get Suarez, then it won't be surprising if their new coach decides to keep Higuain.
Perez isn't that stupid to sell a top striker relatively cheap, without getting a new striker first.

But Higuain wants to leave.

It would suck if it was the milanista Ancelotti who got appointed, though. I bet he'd refuse him to leave to Juve just for the sake of it being Juve.
