Ah, Baggio, allways the criticism, without explaining how it should be done.

Tell us, what possible striker could come on the market, better then the most clinical finisher of the game ?
Higuain is not the most clinical finisher in the game, today or any other day. To the best of my knowledge, only Juventus, Galatasaray and Tottenham are in for Higuain. If he was such a fantastic piece of business at 25m, a higher calibre club would've made a bid knowing his official availability. Assuming we are talking about the most clinical finisher in the game.

For the record, I'm not against signing him as a striker, more because he isnt an SS, and less because I don't see him as the best striker in the world like you do. At 20m, it's a good deal but that's it. If we are only going to buying one 'top' player, I wanted our money to be spent on somebody to complement Llorente. Not overlap with him. Higuain and Jojo, both, would also be aothern interesting way to address the situation if we could pull that off.

Higuain is a very good striker but not as good as Falcao and Cavani because they have more facets to their game, apart from their pure CF like physicality. and add to that, I do rate Benzema and Lewandowski higher too.

You can argue it all you want with your 43% conversion, 2 striker system and 250m turnover vocabulary, but Higuain is not world class for me.

PS: also, I was addressing what the cusp was saying with regard to nobody else being in for Higuain. My point was, coz the big players will have a different mercato approach than ours and more money, and there are better strikers out there can be bought with that money by the other clubs, that's whys lack of interest in Gonzalo.

Higuain to Juve is now closer than ever. All the conditions are there. Real Madrid wants to sell, Higuain wants Juve, and Juve wants Higuain.
:nico:
True. Seems like a deal thatll close sooner rather than later. Madrid doesn't really need the money to get a replacement but they'll move in the mercato once the player is off their hands.

Ah okay - I believe now.
Good, you should. Coz it's going to happen. So linebreak can take a whinebreak this summer. :D

So there are people here who don't want Higuain? Really?

I mean.

Really?

People talk about how much he, or any other striker is worth. Have we all forgotten that the striker position is far and away the most overpriced position in the mercato?

what did falcao and cavani do, that higuain didnt allready do ?

falcao, the euroleague hero, when is he scoring more goals in a league season then higuain has in 2009-2010 if he's so good ?
:sergio:
This season falcao has scored 26 goals in la liga thats one goal less than Higuain's best season... one goal in two more matches is what you are basing your argument on? Falcao has been scoring over 30 goals per season in all competitions since 2009 now in portugal and in spain. Your boy never even crossed the 30 goal mark during his whole career with Madrid that is not to mention what falcao did in the Europa league in two consecutive seasons.

Cavani too has scored 26 league goals TWICE already with Napoli in Serie A and as been scoring over 30 goals in all competitions for three consecutive seasons. Stats aside, Higuain is likely to be offloaded to make room for the likes of falcao and cavani and you must be trolling if you think he is at their level if you ever watched any of the two.

So if either of falcao or cavani scores a single goal in any of the remaining games, your already very weak argument will totally collapse. Do you want to discuss mario gomez's stats? take a look at them first on your own.

I havent come across anyone who is against the move. Anyone can see that he is a huge improvement over what we have. We are merely responding to the fan boys who are claiming him better than or on par with Cavani and Falcao

Ok let just get this out of the way, even if its addressing Zach, Higauin is a FANTASTIC striker, but he is not and wont prolly ever be better then Falcao and Cavani. Both are better attackers then him. Its no shame in it, doesnt descredit him, but its true. I mean FFS Falcao is just a fucking boss attacker as it gets, and Cavani is pretty much your ideal center forward.

higuain scores goals for fun in the primera division, but he chokes in the champions league (9 goals in 2565 minutes, a goal every 285 minutes)
however, the only striker i can name who scores goals for fun in the champions league is C Ronaldo and he is probably off to united for 60M+

Cavani is a one man army.
This can't be said enough.

Cavani is miles ahead any other striker in the game right now. I still remember our Supercoppa game where he bossed everything and everyone. During the entire match I saw him defending at his own box and seconds later he was a threat going forward. He was literally the best defender and attacker.
