I don't really want to change Del Piero as captain, but to go with the discussion, I think Zambrotta or Buffon would be best.
I wouldn't like Thuram to be captain. I think the Juventus captain traditionally should be Italian for starters. Also, Buffon has much more influence on the team than Thuram. But Zambrotta is my first choice because he has more experience than Buffon in more areas.
The only non-Italian I would consider is Nedved, but I prefer Buffon or Zambro.
