Its hard to define who a diver is and whose not(unless its a clear case ala Drogba and Cristiano), and we could debate all day about it and not get anywhere, because theres no way for someone to prove the other wrong, but my impression about Torres is that he does tend to fall to ground on the slightest contact at times, and he does try to con the referee and make a meal out of challenges ala your typical Spanish player.

I admire Henry for what he did at Arsenal, not for his moral qualities. He could be a cheater, a diver and an arrogant thug, but he's still an Arsenal legend and someone who always remembers Arsenal fans and speaks well of the club.

In what way did he have a better season than Ronaldo? Is the world cup the only football that was played in 2010?
And if Messi is justified then so is Ronaldo. Apart from the bad WC both of them had, they had brilliant January-May and September-December.

Iniesta won the World Cup, so that's a start. But apart from Sneijder at Inter I'd say that the only other candidate would be Milito or maybe Zanetti for his service, but that's stretching it.

Oh, and why is there a 3 men shortlist at all? FIFA picked ~20 candidates (which was also a farce because it didn't include Milito) and they should have let the coaches and captains of the NT's vote for whoever they wanted out of those 20, instead of making it a 3 men shortlist.

Until last year France football gave the ballon d'or letting journalists vote. FIFA let the coaches and captains give from 1 to 5 points to the 5 players they thought did best.
This year there is a silly 3 men shortlist. Why?
This became an idiotic prize. I think that some respected newspaper should start their own award ala France football.

It should've been Xavi, Messi and Sneijder. Iniesta doesn't deserve to be in the final 3 runners, IMO. The prize, of course, should've been between Xavi and Sneijder.

I think this will indeed be the main reason why Iniesta will take it, not saying he deserves it more then Messi, Xavi or Sneijder who, rediculous as it is, isn't in the top 3.
