He's not wrong with that either. It's a miracle we've made two finals in three years, given the enormous financial strength of clubs like Real Madrid have over us.
He's not wrong in a sense, but money is not everything either. Atletico wouldn't be as good otherwise and Manchester City would be ruling Europe. Sports doesn't work like that. In a single game everything can happen.

Having a defeatist attitude is not good although he might have as well downplayed expectations.

But I agree we've done pretty good in Europe considering our resources. Let's just not create mental barriers

It isn't about Beppe, not his fault we keep selling our best players.

It's how we operate as a club. It's how EXOR operates, buy - increase value - sell for high profit.

True, it likely isn't his fault at all. At the same time you don't have to say it on a weekly basis, its almost like you're advertising our best players. Even if it is a policy play it a little closer to the chest, not really the way to approach a negotiation and is depressing to read over and over again.

Over a press conference
trying to save beppes face?

listen..even when we are clearly a selling club.. beppe should shut his mouth and keep that littler secret for themselves.

The boar5d is not fooling anyone.... they will sell our best players one after another if the money comes... but hey at least have some pride and shut it.

saying everynow and then that our best players cannot be kept because we cant be competitive enough gets tiresome after a while and makes and the board him look like losers

Seeing the Coutinho saga from an objective point of view and how they have no chance in hell in keeping him or repairing the relationship, I can understand the 'players will' approach Beppe is talking about.

Forcing your players to stay is not a viable strategy. Just look at Liverpool again for example, they have $#@!ed it all up with Coutinho, guys like Can won't sign a new contract unless they have a release clause and nobody is happy.

What I don't like from Beppe though is that I feel sometimes that he's daring the players to leave.
I think this is relative.

I'm pretty sure Matuidi did everything he could to leave last season, he publicly admitted it. The sheik didn't allow. What happened? He played decently for a year for them.

It depends a lot on player's profile I guess. If you do that to a Tevez, he will fuck you up.

Anyway, if selling is inevitable, at least sell for the market price, not below it.

Btw, I think he exaggerates even his operandi modus. Alex Sandro for example - I'm dead sure he tried and managed to convince the guy and his agent to stay. How? More than doubling his wages.

The Number 10 campaign started

Q: Beppe, ¿What do u think about Messi? A: Paulo and him could be great together if they play on a daily basis
Q: Beppe, ¿What do u think about Asensio? A: Isco and Dybala, together would be awesome
Q: Beppe, ¿What do u think about next WC? A: Dybala has to decide if he wanna stay here before it starts

Even if our sales policy is shit no matter what, why does Marotta insist on making us look like shit every couple of months? Amazing job on the whole, 9/10 but if we're to stay at this level and even look to improve I'd like a director that doesn't remind everybody that we're a beta club at the mercy of players and richer clubs every Summer.

My feeling is that he's just trying to change everyone's mindset on how Juventus is perceived and trying to make us look like the most attractive stepping stone of them all
