So... our mercato this year:

We turned a top 3 midfield in all of football into a who knows what midfield, without an attacking midfielder.

We improved the depth of our forwards and lowered the quality of our starting attack.

We improved the left back position.

Solid 4/10 as things currently stand. We're significantly worse than last year, and the management has forced our coach into a formation change with their incompetence. Sure, we made a few very good signings, but they by no means make up for the idiocy of selling the starting CAM for less than market value, and not replacing him with another top class CAM.

Guyses. Last minute failed swoop for Isco is what I think Beppe will do.
Fixed.

Germans fucked Beppe this summer, and its not even funny.
Bayern, Schalke, Wolf toying with CL finalist.
Toyed is an understatement. More like destroyed.

Manager of the year 2015

:applause:

Can someone please replace those surrounding jury faces with the players we missed out on.

Well it's looking like we are ending up without the AM we need. Incomplete squad and mercato. Disappointed.

“Football is a team sport, and I don't think an individual is decisive."

“Our club prefer to talk about great achievements and history. We’ve done great things in Italy and in Europe.

"We've never stopped anything for money reasons, though of course fairness is a crucial part of any negotiation.

“It’s not easy to find players worthy of Juventus. It’s not a question of money, but about finding someone who can give us what we need.
He needs to never talk to the press again, during the mercato. I rather the crazy Elkann take up that responsibility than this guy.

Draxler and Wolfsburg.
:touched:

 that's all we can do.

Next season I'm really not going to get so invested in our market. Too stressful and annoying. These sagas are fucked.
You spoke about this once and you'd mentioned how it doesn't let it affect you, I guess it finally got to you, like it gets to most of us. It seriously is a very draining experience.

Rewind rewind rewind. He might afterall have done the unexpected.

Shit was so simple. What is the point of all those players you've signed when you haven't got your hands on the one player the coach has specifically asked for? Add to that some really random movement on the mercato, and you can see that there are signs of overconfidence, confusion and incompetence as well. We probably thought we've reached a CL final with players signed on our terms, and that would continue to happen, where clubs would just bend over and give into our demands.

We never prioritised the delicate nature of certain negotiations and the posturing that required us to move like a big club. While there are still 36 hours to go, it's highly unlikely that the coach, who by the way, earned his right to demand a certain type of player, will not be getting him - after we have publicly acknowledged that money is not a constraint. We've not just lost our edge on the mercato with the way we moved this season, we've also pretty much lost our edge on the competition. Shameful. Embarrassing. And pretty damn disgraceful if we don't get our AM.

Only Vidals sale and Llorente going for free were poor. And what's wrong with Cuadrado on a basically free loan?
We play 4-3-1-2, not a formation that fits Cuadrado. That's the problem, free or not.

Somebody already said it that we're just shopping for anything we see, prioritizing "opportunities" for the sake of opportunities and not dealing with our real problems. One being that AM that seems unsolvable.

Our board is forcing Allegri to forget all he's done in his career and work with "whatever they got", because of their huge incompetence to give the guy his player.

It's even worse, because regardless of whether Vidal's best position was as a B2B CM or not, his ability to offer his own quite decent interpretation of the CAM role, allowed us to play a 4-3-1-2 for Allegri, and a 4-3-1-2 that absolutely dominated. So to sell the player that made our domestic double and CL final formation possible for us to play, and then not replace him is just so inept, it seems impossible to believe it has occurred.

People like Zach can talk all they want about how we have a good team for a 3-5-2 now, but why the fuck would we transition to a 3-5-2 from a 4-3-1-2 that has always been Allegri's preferred formation, just won us a domestic double, and got us to the CL final in Juventus' most successful season since 1996. It's utterly baffling.

It seems Allegri has spoke of Cuadrado as being able to play as an attacking mid. It seems he played there on rare occasions for the Viola. Maybe this was our top class signing for that position? :sergio:

Money is not an issue, but then again there are no AMs worthy of Juventus. What the fuck does that even mean? Coz the only thing I derive from that is that we aren't good enough to go and sign a top AM and act like a big fucking club after the CL run we just had. It's shambolic really. If for once, we really gave his a shot, we may have succeeded. I'm sick of it honestly. Goetze doesn't want to leave Bayern. Schalke doesn't want to sell Draxler. Vidal and Coman wanted to leave Juve. Llorente's goin for free at least frees up 20m in wages. What is the matter with us? Even as fans, we've got so resigned to this bullshit that we actually believe half of this shit is not possible. This is the result of poor planning, and inability to negotiate with the creme of the crop. Its unbelievable, we've pretty much signed away the scudetto by not signing the ONE position we had all summer to do. What a letdown if this comes to pass.

It sounds more like he's just trying to cover for his employers' incompetence. he's just protecting the interests of his bosses. Inside he must be furious.

I have no doubt in my mind Cuadrado would be the last player Allegri would consider as his TQ.

Btw Draxler isn't as good as that our mercato would hinge on his signing.
No he isn't. But our mercato hinges on signing someone to play that position. A mediocre signing like Draxler, Saponara, Soriano, Vazquez at the very least means we can play our coaches preferred formation. It wouldn't make it a perfect mercato, but it would make it a good mercato because we made some very good signings. Not signing an AM of any sort, means we forcing a formation change on Allegri. That pretty much negates the good work done with signings like Dybala, Mandzukic, Alex Sandro, etc.

Infract me if they want but the truth is Marotta is full of shit. His interviews are painful to read, every fucking time he manages to make us look like his provincial shit club that is Sampdoria. He should never be put in front of a microphone again in his life.

Every word is simply BS.
