Pereyra and Romulo are proven, while Morata is very talented youngster. Much better fit for us than Immobile, as Spaniard simply has more facets to his game.

They are proven to be average players in average Serie A teams. Morata is a talent that costs a lot. Coman is a talent that didn't cost anything, these are the deals that should be done.

Romulo was anything but average last year. Player that you'd have definitely noticed. As for Pereyra, someone said that he reminds him of Marchisio and that's a rather good description, but Marchisio is not a bad player at all. Romulo was dirty cheap, 7-8 mills iirc, while Pereyra atm isn't worth 15m from what I've seen, but that's only my estimate. Both are significant upgrades over our previous bench players and rather young, therefore we won't be needing to replace them soon.

hows pereyra proven? what has he proved?
The point being made is that after years of playing in Serie A, Pereyra is relatively proven player, unlike youngsters with few or no appearances at all at a top level football, since the argument was whether including them in the first team instead would be a better choice.

For a bench player I think it is.

not proven enough to be anywhere near our starting eleven imo i get romulo, he can be the vidal sub we needed last year, but dropping 15 mil on a player we only need for depth and who hasnt shown any spectacular skills to justify the price, while we have glaring needs makes no sense to me at this point.

what is worse is that if pereya turns out to be shit, Marotta will still pay the agreed fee just to keep udinese sweet, after that he will join a long list of deadwood and spend the rest of his Juve days out on loan till his contract runs out

As much as Pogba was an even bigger leap in the dark than this guy, seeing as he practically came straight from United's Reserve with very little first team experience, are you suggesting Pereyra will turn out to be just as talented?

Pogba is one in a million. Pereyra was a first team player and from all we know haven't impressed a bit.

Wtf is this shit? Are you being fucking serious now? We practically got Pogba on a free. He was a low risk high reward scenario. Moreover, had Pogba failed, we would've still been able to sell him for a few million (at a profit) seeing as he is still very young.

Pereyra is still young (not as young as Pogs obviously), but he isn't a low risk high reward scenario. We got him on a loan with option (which I'm pretty sure will turn into an obligation, as Marotta stated it himself) that might end up costing us 17-18 million Euros.

Hence, Pogba didn't need to be a proven acquisition at the time of purchase, considering we got him for practically nothing; that is, unless you want to buy proven players for free. In that case, may Allah be with you.

y dont we just wait till the season starts before we start talkin shit about the players

i lol at the crystal ballers in here

those who play football on paper

proven players can flop just as much as 'unproven' ones

i understand the hoe in certain members they want shiny stuff to play with even tho they may be unattainable not just for pricing reasons

i prefer to watch football....alot of u complaning now defended the atrocius and uninspired ball played under Conte recently

points record or not our teamplay sucked serious ass
