I think Baiocco was the worse of the bunch.

Was like the current bonucci in sucky levels, but he played less, and was in a team filled with quality so we luckily had not to suffer much.
Here is another one: Salvatore Fresi. The point is every gm makes these odd signings, but people need to look at the bigger picture.

Melo, Motta, Krasic, Pepe , groso and Marchisio...all of them had a disastrous season.

He had a couple bad ones but i cant remember them all.
Salas, Baiocco, Leggro, Miccoli. etc.
No you are wrong.
Salas was a must buy because it came in package with Nedved so we must buy him in order to get Pavel.I agree with you that Salas was old and not in best shape.Miccoli was good.I don't understand why you dismiss this transfer. He played well for us,was cheap and then we sold to Benfica after loaning him previously to some other teams.Legro was bad but ultra cheap,so it was not that bad move. And what about selling Zidane back in 2001 -biggest transfer and most wisely used money? What about Cannavaro when we give Inter our third goalkeeper and get Cannavaro. There are much, much examples. The guy was a transfer magician.

Who knows. Maybe his greatest regret is selling Henry after just one season
No,not getting Ronaldo from Portugal and he already passed our medical!!!!!!!

im talking abouit the bd deals, not the good ones like zidane.

Miccoli was an stupid fat midget with a giant ego, and was envy of DP.. Leggro was cheap but he was fukin disgusting... so he was BAD signing...Salas was an anelka like move, pavel or not. Olivera was fail, baiocco too.

Im not only taking into account how much they costed... but also hopw they delivered

He was a real transfer guru, but like some said... it is impossible to say that he didnt make mistakes,.

Salas Anelka type move? Man when we bought Salas we though we were buying an epic player, he just didn't work out with us. (plus salas wasn't for free)

For all the people who think marotta is a decent sports director who had a helping hand in rebuilding juve, here is the truth.

I think we can all agree that in the last 3 years we made great buys. Marotta was the only person who could close these deals on such good parameters. Thats why he is justly called "the great man". Imagine any other director in his postion, do you really think anonye could sign free agents. NO only great men can do that and marotta is definatly one of them.
and what about the "not so great" deals he made.. Gallaini probably would have paid 24mil for martinez and 20 for elia. Sabatini surely wouldn´t get Bonucci and ogbanna under 50mil and on triple wages. Do you really think paying 11mil for half of giovinco was bad business than imagine how much branca would have forked out (imo at least 20mil). You can replace the names with any other sports director.
nobody and I mean absolutely nobody will ever reach the heights of marotta and his genius and that is a fact because history proved him right. Juventus and all the fans are very, very lucky that marotta decided to take us under his wings.

I wanted to join the marotta is "the great man" club but I don´t like cults, so i just pray every night that he never leaves us.

Though we're not really a cult :shifty:

Honestly.

Sadly about Ronaldo (Moggi showed even the signed contract) it's Salas fault he didn't want to go back in Portugal and we didn't have a slot avaible (dunno how it was back then with extra-comunitary or whatever)

with an offer worth €50m you have to accept and then find replacements. A club has to look at the balance sheet.
Moggi was great but he made plenty of mistakes. The sale of Henry being just one of them. I think that if Moggi worked today when we, the fans have almost unlimieted access to information provided by Twitter gurus allowing financial and dacdical experds to discuss the transfer of a youngster for over 150 forum pages and calculating the value of players in crono$ many would hate on him just as they do on Marotta.

I do not agree. He was and is a master of transfers.Yes he sold Henry but immediately bought Trezeguet .I still think that David is a better attacker than Henry.

I am speaking about Juve and our history with foreign forwards.Maybe Henry would not accomplish that as David did and latter could maybe not be even a mediocre player in EPL.

Oh I see ,maybe the job of the attackers are to finish with goals don't you think?Remember that David is our best foreign striker in whole Juve history.
Best foreign striker ? Lol, how about Sivori

Strikers dont just finish chances, they also create them and build up. Hence why Henry was the starter in the french national team and trezeguet was a reserve.

Henry could do everything, he was just slightly less in finishing.
