He is still not a true LWB and is a natural CM, and even still, we could've had 2 great LWBs instead of 1 great one + 2 medicore/average ones (Asamoah, Padoin & Peluso). We are just lucky Conte managed to turn him into a great LWB and made up for Marotta's weakness of still not signing a LWB.

His only good game I remember was against Milan 2008/09 when Zambrotta was expelled for a bad tackle on him. He had a good game overall with nice runs and crosses. After it he faded away. Injuries took some part. And currently whenever he plays our left side looks shaky. Defensively he's huge liability.

Of course we didn't believe in fucking Amauri, by that time we were trying to sell him and put all our eggs in the Dzeko basket but we saw how that turned out. Baldie kicked Trezeguet out of the club, thinking Dzeko was a sure thing and that Amauri would be easy to sell.

No one is saying that is a bad transfer, just he isn't a natural LWB which I'm sure we can all agree on. It shows at times due to his inability to cross and Krasic like dribbling moves. If Marotta didn't buy Peluso & Padoin, we could have a true good LWB and Asamoah which would be great. Instead of 1 good LWB and 2 average-below average LWBs.
