i have never heard of a coach that buys players that played their entire lives in one postion to play them in something unfamiliar

He was left sided midfielder. It wasn't so off to try to play him there. He probably had that in mind. Watched him plenty of games of course to make that judgment. It's not like we're talking about football and basketball player here.

Oh sorry, before joining here I wasn't aware of most of the deals involving Juventus, just the most important ones. Maybe we wanted him for being a backup? We were aware about the lack of capacity that De Ceglie has defending and I think that the links with other lwbs were a prove that Conte didn't trusted him at all. I'm just supposing
