lets assume these stories are right for a change and Higuain, Jovetic, Suarez... sign for other teams
that would be disapointing but can you really blame Marotta for this?
I mean they are being chased by Man City, Arsenal and Real
all clubs who have a far bigger wallet then Juve
I know Arsenal is a crap team but they can spend 70+ million this year, I'm not even going to guess how much the other two can spend
we can spend maybe 25 million, how are you going to compete with English teams or the richest club in football

You're right

we should all just stop over analyzing and just settle down and be content when at the end of the summer mercato we will have signed a Pazzini and the next Palladino.

I partly agree.

Jovetic is not worth the 30M Fiorentina is asking, mainly due to his constant injuries. And they hate and envy Juve so it's a hard deal to get anyway. Marotta shouldn't be blamed for this one.

Higuain is a difficult target, but attainable, as long as Marotta worked quickly and was aggressive. And I guess he wasn't.

And anyway, we need creative and aggressive solutions. Balotelli was a fuckin genious coup by Galliani. So was El Sharaaahfkdhhfkdjkf. So was Cavani. So was Jovetic. And the list goes on.

U can tell Marotta is an honest guy who has trouble when it comes to thinking out of the box. He looks like a fucking kid compared to Galliani.

We need someone with MOJO, SWAG, like Moggi. Marotta is decent, very good for Lazio or Roma. But this is Juventus, damn it.

don't you think other teams know this, I mean they hang on to their player untill they have offers from rich clubs
they were never going to accept an offer below asking price cuz they know there are teams loaded with cash
30 million is pocket money for them

"If marotta worked quickly"

So you think if he offered that 22mil "quickly" that real would pounce ?

Make no mistake, real can perfectly wait untill someone comes that offers what they want

Good point. Actually that's how it works.

I just hope Marotta stops chasing average Italian youngsters/veterans and be aggressive in the mercato.

I wished we scouted for a very good striker who would stay with us for years and score tons of goals
like Napoli did with Cavani or Porto with so many players
seems to me that when they really hit it big, they are out of our reach
we can't compete with the Real's, City's or PSG's of this world

that's the reality for Italian clubs
And what if Fiorentina sign Gomez? Oh yea, they're signing him because they're selling Jojo, blah blah. But what about the wages, what about the poor little Italian league, what about the lack of CL? I hope they do it. Might actually help the poor league since the champions have no money whatsoever.

Even if we didn't get Llorente, you know we wouldn't be able to pull of Gomez. Our terms would never allow us to pay 20m for a striker in the last year of his contract. And the 5.5m wages that Fiorentina are going to be paying, shocking. How dare they? Especially given since our wage cap is 4.5m according to some intelletegencia here.

The point is simple. The league, the money we have, the wages we pay, can NO longer be an excuse, if these are the players identified by Marrotta. So either move with intent or if you're prioritizing your deals in order of preference, then be willing not to walk away if a bidding war ensues. "If" Higuain is our first choice player, then you got to keep up with Arsenal to a reasonable degree, whether you negotiate harder, throw in first preference for Real when you sell Vidal, whatever. But don't walk away coz our terms are not met, coz you are losing precious time waiting for his situation to be resolved while teams are beginning to sharpen their targets, with an eye in guys like Tevez and Jojo, your plan B.

Yeah, we had a bad summer mercato, nothing to do about it now
No, I'm just saying. Because I've spent all evening hearing how Marrotta has pulled of genius moves all his life and made a small club like ours into a big one. And how he has won us two scudetti and a QF berth. Like Conte was only there to promote the company that gave him his toupe.

There is NO excuse if he doesn't help us make the leap in quality this season. Especially with a quality forward. Llorente is not that forward.

I said before, that I think he will, but if he doesn't, we shouldn't be faced with excuses.

They both deserve credit. And Agnelli I would add for hiring them.
