When you said, you were underwhelmed at Berba's arrival, the first time we discussed this, didn't you feel and agree we could and should have ended up with more? My point is and stands, is hasn't been about money as much as it has about our willingness or lack thereof to focus on targets that couldn't be considered bargains.

Not at all. He wouldn't need to justify this or the other procedures if he didn't bring them up in the first place. Simply shut up and do your work coz talking to the press for three years has led to nothing except naming targets and then later justifying why we couldn't bring them in.

I don't particularly agree with the 'could have' argument for several players mentioned. I said at the beginning that we would only sign a top player in the right conditions. Obviously they didn't exist.
There are all different reasons for not signing a player, and most of them don't come down to Marotta. He is the 'foreman' of the club in terms of player strategy. It's different now.
When you see the old make up of Cobolli, Blanc and Secco you can see their philosophy was different. You see Blanc at PSG, read Cobolli's comments on the mercato, he always talk big. Secco's actions speak for themselves. They weren't intelligent guys on the this side of the business, they were ambitious and reckless and paid whatever was required.

If he thinks that Players like Van Persie, Aguero, Jovetic, Llorente... are so out of our league, so why pursuit them in the first Place ?!

But remember many defended Secco and Co too back in 2007-08 years when we qualified 2 seasons in a row to the CL. And i remember their argument being that for a team coming back from serie B Secco, blanc and others are doing a brilliant job (when the guy was clearlly fucking up in the Market) but nobody cared back then afterall we were in the CL and at the top of this league.

Is that why it was described as a gentleman's agreement? Again, I'll willingly give you the benefit of the doubt. So we had 21m euros for Llorente with a 4-4.5m contract for 4 years amounting to about 37m, or 39m, whichever figure you choose to believe. Thereby falling short of Dzeko by 10m.
We bought Isla, Asamoah and Giovinco for about 30m. I know, I know, can't wait to see isla coz he's so phenomenal, but did we need to do that having Licht and Caceres? Yes we did coz your argument is likely to be that he is better at RwB than zLicht in a 352. Which begs the question, why wasn't Licht sold, to PsG or whoever else if we didn't have the money for the one position that's been filled by panic buys 3 years in a row.
