Yeah, as things stand you would have to put Inter, Milan and Napoli as stronger than Juve.

I don't know what other team is clearly better for the suggestion to be that 5th is the best Juve can hope for.
Pretty much how I see the league also, Red. The two milanese clubs have better squads, and more established serie A coaches. Its a shame about Gasperini, because i hate Inter, but have always liked him...Lazio seem to be weaker already than last season, and I doubt they will be able to repeat the trick. Roma? Money to burn but a far from experienced manager, and a team that needs a fair amount of work (like us)...Udinese without sanchez?? Huge loss, 30% of the offensive success gone in a flash.

Which leaves Napoli...who do not seem weaker. But they may well focus more energies onto the champions league.

If we get some cohesion, our new players bed in as well and as quickly as can be hoped, and conte can manage to instill some of the grinta he is renowned for, it could be an exciting fight against Cavani and his buddies...for 3rd.

there way too many factors right now to consider. mercato is not done yet, conte is still a question mark and we don't know how some of our signings (vidal, vucinic) and players (Krasic, Matri) will do.

we will have a better idea around late spetember early october on what this squad is capable of doing.

 People (well most guys here) were absulotely delighted last season with the team results in the first games untill things got really bad mid-season.

"Performance" is what really Matters IMO not just results. If we will manage to win many games 3-4 months into the season and our performance was bad or average then I'd be worried about this team.

If the "team" as a whole can defend well and create many chances even though results isn't too impressive then thats IMO a sign that things well only get better but if its the other way around then its not.

It's two seasons in a row now, that w're pretty much starting from scratch. The purchases so far have been encouraging moves on the market, but I wouldn't get my hopes up just yet. Having seven new players in your starting line up can go either way, no matter how much quality is up on show. Also, while its wise to see how the metcarto develops over time, and hold out for good deals till the end, it also can work against you because you're not giving the new players time to fit into the system and culture of the team. I think our depth this season is going to be the telling difference between this and the past two seasons. And if I had to pick, I'd say depending on consistency and Conte coming to the party as coach, we're looking at between 3rd and 5th spot.
