Release clause?

What a disaster he is. He's way over his head. If he misses out on bringing us a champion and if we miss the Champions League, do you guys think he could get fired? He's so bad and I'm actually embarrassed for him. Everything he does is shit. Just the fact that he brought us first Del Neri and now a Serie B coach without experience. How did he think there? You can't even make this shit up...

Too unfair to judge Conte choice without even the start of the season..and also you cannot judge this mercato until it gets to an end..so far there have been some very good moves
Lichtsteiner, Vidal for decent prices, Pirlo, Ziegler for free
Selling Sissoko for 8 mil is pretty good

You guys make it sound like marotta had to wrestle hard and rough to get the "freebies" pirlo and Ziegler. Its not like they had years on their contract and marotta somehow cancelled it out.

yes but you should also take into consideration that we are not even playing in europa cup! we are not that Juve that attracts any player or any coach anymore! Players like Licht, Vidal, pirlo..are the besttt in their positions you can get in such situation!

And why is that?

If I was rating every deal that Marotta did for Juve, I would probably give him more good than bad deals (every deal has pros and cons anyway), but seeing the scheme as a whole he's being pretty inaccurate and unable to pull a great deal out of him until now.

If I remember correctly, it is Agnelli who chose Delneri.

Fuck you Marotta, not for not signing Aguero but for giving us false hope. Fuck Aguero too.

I don't see the problem. Should he just be happy with everything the club does? That way they'll see no need to change and consider being a midtable club an accomplishment.

Being the 7th is not only Marotta's fault..With the same squad it wasn't impossible to finish 4th..we were even very close to it in different occasions of the season..you even saw how many of our shitty players perform much better at other teams..I believe it was all about Del Neri mainly

I know you're being melodramatic, but to answer you're questions I would say yes, it's a possibility he could be fired if we miss the CL, although it depends how close we push it, how far the team has improved etc. Basically whether it seems we are building. Last season we knocked the foundations of (a disastrous) 09-10 season rather than building on them, I'm not sure it would be wise to do this every 2 years, as if it's a coach. The ds changes everything, we keep thinking the grass is greener every time but the club will bring another ds from a smaller Italian team. Even the fabled Sabatini is evidently not a miracle man, but like Marotta he will be judged on the season rather than the mercato. You don't just buy players or big names to appease whimsical fans and that is your job done, it's the complete package with a coach, trainers and players, and dealing within a financial bracket.

I'd also say that selecting the coach is not simply down to Marotta, in fact his choice is key but not decisive. With Delneri that is different as they came as a package and our board gambled and failed, the choice of Conte strikes me as one that several people inside the club (I believe this was confirmed at several stages) have made, plus he is a Juve legend and doing well at his club (albeit Serie B) so local fans would accept him at least in the short term. Actually I think Conte's legend status will put more pressure on Marotta, they will be loath to blame Conte first, so it could well be a decisive gamble from him.

Comming from a liverpool fan the support for marotta here is ridiculous. Juve has a glorious history and it seems along with your management some of the fans here too have settled for mediocrity.

This 'mediocrity' you speak of comes from the top of the club, and is also enforced by our results on the pitch. We can't offer CL football and won't offer huge transfer fees and wages. You can do it in another way, but I'm not convinced Marotta et al are making all the right moves and in the right areas.

Coaching is partly the problem but don’t stray from the real issue at hand.

BTW, did you let him finish on your face this time?

I agree you cannot just buy a sucessful team and turn it around in a year. You can

complain all you want about stars not wanting to come here because you do not offer europe, but its not like you got promoted to serie A last year. You have had 4 years now to build a team and attract THE players. Marotta failed last year itself, choked in jan as well.
I see people fighting over the siginings you already made, the argument is marotta got the players because they wanted to come here, not because he has the potential to get them here. The fact is even if you say marotta was the reason they came here you should realise players like ziegler and Licht are not someone you should argue about {or excited about}. They are not The Juve material. In fact none of your signings except matri and vidal are worth being excited about.

Remember marotta is in his 3rd mercato at Juve. You will not qualify for europe with him working your team. 5th is what juve will get this season.
