marotta is trying to sell the rubbish that he got stuck with from previous regimes (amauri, iaquinta, almiron, grygera, grosso, etc.) you can't force teams to take your players without selling them very low, and if he does that everyone complains at the price :sergio:
His deals with Melo and Giovinco were absolute crap. Two players a monkey could sell and Marotta got stitched on hard. If he can barely sell players like Melo and Gio then naturally he can't sell those named players at all where a good transfer manager would make something of a clubs dead weight.

selling trash is one thing, but the inability to sell decent players like Diego, Sissoko, Giovinco and Melo, for a decent price, is totally a different thing...
thats pure incompetence, no doubt and it brings in perspective the other failed incidents and releases...
- Considering the season Diego had with us 15 million was a good price, and this year his value fell even more, so I personally don't think he fucked up with Diego.
- Sissoko he hasn't sold as yet, but we bought him 8 million sterling, and at the only moment the only offer we 'got' was the same from Stoke City, with PSG Marseille and other teams interested the price will rise and anything above 10 is a very good price for a midfielder that is always injured and doesn't know how to pass
-Giovinco i agree he fucked up completely, 3 million for half his contract is way too low
- Melo, if they HAVE to buy him, is quite a good deal as its his actual value and he wanted to leave, 14.5 million, just cause Secco overpaid doesn't mean other clubs will too!

Giovinco was a really shit deal.
Melo, if they HAVE to buy him for 13m next summer its a good and fair price

Diego's year wasnt bad, our was, thats why it was a bad moment to sell him, but managerial move, but lets say he was booted because of his role.

As for Melo stop assuming BS please, we did the same thing with Diego assuming we had a gents agreement for Dzeko, but it wasnt the case.
Neither seems to be the case with the Tiago gift to ATLM and many more mistakes like that. We did the worst possible deal with Melo and for no particularly reasonable reason (he was one of our best MCs, still very fit to our current system, this club will only reduce his value and will not be able to buy him with the sum we are hoping, we were forced to invest even more money to find his replacement, who is not any real upgrade to him)
Probably the worst deal of the decade in serie A
Such an amateur mistake all alone should be enough to discredit Marotta for ever!

As for Sissoko, his actual value was about 16mil, we got him cheaper due to his contract duration.
Though i would be pleased to see him sold for 10mil, but i seriously doubt that Marotta can ever make a decent profit of anyone...
I hope that this nails the last illusions of him having any clue:smoke:

I think Marotta should be given a break. There is too much work to be done. The squad is in a pitiful state even though it may not be fully obvious until you list out the team. It's no coincidence that the club finished 7th twice in a row...

Current Squad
Strikers: Matri, Quag, ADP, Toni
Wide players: Krasic, Martinez, Pepe, Silvestre
Midfielders: Vidal, Marchisio, Pirlo, Giandonato, Pazienza, Ekdal
Center backs: Chiellini, Bonucci, Barzaghli, Sorensen
Fullbacks: Lichsteiner, Ziegler, De Ceglie, Motta
Goal: Buffon, Manninger

Transfers In: Pirlo (Free), Vidal (12m), Pazi (Free), Lichsteiner (12m), Ziegler (Free). That's 24 first team players and 24m spent on 5 new players.

Transfers Out: Amauri, Iaquinta, Melo, Sissokho, Almiron, Tiago, Grygera, Grosso, Salihamidzic, Rinaudo, Bianco, Alcibiade, Storari. That's 13 players to go in total, 6 of whom have already left.

With these transfers out, the club will be cutting 17.6m (not counting unknown) in salaries that need not be paid.

Amauri - 4.2m
Iaquinta - 2.5m
Melo - 2.6m
Sissokho - 2.2m
Almiron - Xm
Tiago - Xm
Grosso - 1.5m
Grygera - 1.6m
Salihamidzic - 2m
Rinaudo - 1m
Bianco - Xm
Alcibiade - Xm
Storari - Xm
Did you get a free t-shirt for posting that or something?

No, you need to add in the players he brought in:

Krasic - really wanted to come here
Storari - too much for a player his age, despite him being a keeper
Quagliarella - 5th choice fluke
Bonucci - €22m expensive flop
Martinez - expensive flop
Motta - cheap but crap
Aquilani - average for no fee, so crap
Rinaudo - who?
Traoré - panic buy
Pepe - crap
Toni - panic buy
Matri - overpriced panic buy
Barzagli - cheap and average panic buy
Sorensen - 'what have we become?'
Pirlo - no one else wanted him
Pazienza - Napoli reject no one else wanted
Lichtsteiner - really wanted to come here
Ziegler - despite the obvious Samp links he really wanted to come here
Vidal - really wanted to come here, and Völler really wanted him to

Now the full picture is complete.

This is different to Barcelona, for example. When they sign players on excellent deals it's largely because Sandro Rosell is a brilliant director, nothing to do with the attraction of the club itself.

Everybody can spend cash and buy players.
The point is what you make of these investments, we are still overpaying, still paying more to buy less and are still unable to make decent profit from our players, even the ones who are worthy.
Amateur traders pay more when they buy and make less when they sell, this fact has been confirmed about Marotta both ways.
The fact that we are still overpaying was certain since last year, but some of his passionate delusional followers were still ignoring the fact that he is as bad, when selling too, the Melo deal now proves it!

He also makes minimal use of our prestige by undermining and undervalue our players regularly.
He lost all credibility with the Tiago deal, he first tried to make cash out of him and then released him...

Juventus respond to Bayern

Italian giants Juventus have hit back at criticism from Bayern Munich over their signing of Arturo Vidal.

Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has today blasted the player, signed by Juve on Friday, for allegedly breaking a promise to join them this summer.

That outburst has resulted in the Turin giants issuing a statement on their official website from director general Beppe Marotta.

“With regards to the Vidal situation, Juventus operated according to the market rules which foresee an agreement with a club, Bayer Leverkusen in this case, and with a player,” it read.

“It seems that Rummenigge opted for less orthodox channels.

“They have missed out on a great opportunity in the transfer market and in terms of communication – their silence would have been preferable.

“Evidently the Nerazzurri past of a great champion and official like Rummenigge weighs heavily and, as is clear, you can’t control the heart.”

As a player, Rummenigge appeared for Inter – Juventus’ historic rivals – in his career.

Personaly i think Secco is by faar the worst thing ever to happen to this club.

Marotta is just average, one great buy followed by 4-5 shit transfers.

Thats the problem with this current Juve, we've got an average coach + average directors which will result in an average result at the end.

That strategy will hardly get us to the top again.
