No, you need to add in the players he brought in:

Krasic - really wanted to come here
Storari - too much for a player his age, despite him being a keeper
Quagliarella - 5th choice fluke
Bonucci - €22m expensive flop
Martinez - expensive flop
Motta - cheap but crap
Aquilani - average for no fee, so crap
Rinaudo - who?
Traoré - panic buy
Pepe - crap
Toni - panic buy
Matri - overpriced panic buy
Barzagli - cheap and average panic buy
Sorensen - 'what have we become?'
Pirlo - no one else wanted him
Pazienza - Napoli reject no one else wanted
Lichtsteiner - really wanted to come here
Ziegler - despite the obvious Samp links he really wanted to come here
Vidal - really wanted to come here, and Völler really wanted him to

Now the full picture is complete.

This is different to Barcelona, for example. When they sign players on excellent deals it's largely because Sandro Rosell is a brilliant director, nothing to do with the attraction of the club itself.

i really think you should revise your approach to sarcasm, all of the above is correct bar the conclusion and the bold

You can attribute it to anything you want, even if it's obvious you basically need a lobbyist working as a GM if you want to sign top players. But still, that doesn't excuse Marotta and his "network" for his poor scouting ability.

So few positives on this mans record after only a season. He is arguably more wasteful than Secco for how many players he has bought. His motto was young talented players, low wages. I see little evidence of either.

Barca are extremely attractive because of the talented players they have which for a large part is due to good scouting and youth development rather than Rosell's work. Not that I don't agree he's a good director.
