I don't believe it. He was never with Del Neri's move. Since day 1 he criticized him.
I think that's what Marotta said, not Moggi.

Even though I do remember Moggi *sort of* complimenting Marotta and Moggi.

Luciano Moggi has given his seal of approval to the new Juventus leadership, hailing president Andrea Agnelli, general director Giuseppe Marotta and coach Luigi Del Neri.

Moggi feels previous top level management prohibited the club from making progress following their return to the top flight three years ago.

And he is confident the introduction of Agnelli and company mark the start of an important legacy.

"Finally we see a competent man at the helm of Juventus. Agnelli is one who understands football having followed his father, who was president of Juventus," Moggi told Nuovo Spazio Radio.

"It's a good thing because the club has appointed people who understand football."

Moggi expects to see a return to the good times as he explains what the club can expect under Del Neri.

"He is a good coach, not a phenomenon, but surely he is a good coach. As for Marotta, he understands football.

"They are intelligent people and they will do well at Juventus."

This is a canned comment from last August

Ermm, Im not claiming that he said that recently. And it's from last May not last August. The same time that DN and Marotta were appointed by Agnelli.

I'm just refuting the claims that Moggi never said any good things about Marotta and Delneri. He did and I promptly found when he did say those good things.

They are, but a lot of them have been born out of his decisions in the last 12 months. The only other culprit here is the president whose given this man a free run.

Probably because the only reason they're firing DN anyway is due to all of the pressure from the media and fans. They need to make some notable change to appear to be doing something productive.
