I'm worried that the board might have devoted to much time on Dzeko and other failed targets and will have to sign who ever is available when they realize that we are short on players and time.

Sousa only played for 2 years at Juventus. Aside from that, since I really can't consider that a resounding success like the other 3, that gave him a 30% success rate on his first transfer campaign,at a time when Juve had a lot more moeny to spend.

If that is the only reason, then that is disappointing. Contracts can be restructured. It happens all the time. He's made a pretty penny here the last 2 years. Del Piero, Trez, et al have all taken less money when their contracts have been renewed.

I would be very disappointed in both sides if the contract was the main issue

I'm willing to give Marotta a chance because I'm not fully aware of his abilities, unlike Del Neri who is known crap.

This feels like a combination of fails most of all from our board.

The previous management handed Poulsen a very large contract and brought him in to play a role that he doesn't play, and the current management is handling the situation in a poor way.

Perhaps we won't buy new CM's. Tiago returning back to the club is a serious possibility IMO.

It was always going to happen people jumping on Marotta's back.

This year is a cleanup operation next transfer window will be a better oppurtunity to judge.
