We paid 5.5 Million cash for Bonucci. The players we used were not going to have any bearing on our team.
Those players were still gonna be sold. Criscito's price was still gonna be same and only Almiron was gonna be sold for a little less if we didn't involve him in the deal.
If we pay only 1m cash for Dzeko and we give Wolfsburg Diego and Amauri, it won't mean that we lost only 1m eur.

Whichever way you put it, Bonucci cost us at least 13-14m eur. Double more than what we think is Giovinco's fair price.

People have to realize Marotta is trying to bring us out of hell. It won't be easy. He has very little to work with people. We have bench warmers making $3M a year FFS.

Ah, OK, I got it now.

But Moggi was one of a kind. Thus far, in my view, I haven't been impressed with what is going on at all. We bought a couple good young players like Bonucci and a few mediocre ones in Pepe. We still have other areas to improve upon, plus the co-owns make me want to vomit.

Just as in trading, past performance doesn't mean future success.

But what was Moggi before he got to Juventus?

He had bounced around with several teams before he got to Juventus.

Its easy to say that he was one of a kind, when you look at in hindsight

Marotta has to prove himself. Thus far, he hasn't.

The same should have been said about Secco. As I recall in my old age, he didn't work out too well despite being Moggi's paper pusher on the pitch.
