I attached a list i made of Marotta worst deals, they cost us 89.5 million, feel free to remove or add any players you disagree with but also note that i included Quagliarella although he was amazing because we paid the 10.5 million to make his deal permanent after his injury and not before which transformed it into a very bad deal.
I wouldn't say Quag was amazing, but very good. Lets not be overzealous with the adjectives here.

But yeah, that is a lot of money spent. And here we are again trying to replace a lot of those players who cannot even be considered as "part of the base."

Hey, you know if the likes of Bendtner and Borriello didn't earn those wages, someone else would right? We have to fill a roster. How can the wages for your 6th choice striker be wasted money when it will go to someone else anyways? Actually the whole post is ridiculous. Complaining about wages for our backups. Would you prefer that we NOT HAVE BACKUPS?

Oh right. This is Marotta's thread where logic goes to die.

You are even including salaries, and you're also taking into consideration several seasons with a couple of players. Of course it's gonna amount to a pretty hefty sum. But this club makes twice that grand total sum (and now even more) every year, but I didn't hear any mention of that. The grand total sum you posted of both transfer fees and wages, some of the money also being spent over 3 seasons, is well within the budget of a club like Juventus F.C.

Now that you've done such a splendid peace of work, I feel you need to evaluate the contributions of each player, how much revenue they were a part of generation (through shirt sales or being crucial to our scudetto campaign). Lets see how many puppies we made from them. Furthermore, the sales prices we got for them could be worth mentioning :)

So because it's within our budget it's okay to throw money on the ground? With that money we could have easily got Cavani or Falcao, just saying.

It isn't arbitrary, that's what is being argued.
No, what I was arguing against was the use of those numbers. Since the flavour of the day is to trash The Great Man on account of a deal which is not yet finalized, the inclusion of wages and purchase cost seemed arbitrary without having the whole picture, precisely how much revenue the players generated. I would like people to stop pulling convenient numbers out of their asses and actually assess a situation on the factual premiss. Knee jerks have been plenty today, and I'm not quite sure if I can tolerate more of this bullshit in this thread.

Anelka isn't even signed yet, there are still 5 days left of the mercatto and yet bitches are losing their cool like there is no tomorrow

We could've gotten one of those for that sum. ONE player. Great strategy there, have a bunch of idiots kick the ball up at Cavani for him to do everything on his own.

Cavani's transfer fee alone is 60m euro. His salary would be at least 6m per year over at least 4 years. That's 84 million euros for one player.
