No. You're right about this mercato not being great. The last day ruined it for me also. However I still believe we've got a good enough squad to do well in some games.
If Vucinic, Elia and Krasic decide to show up in games most teams will be unable to handle the three of them.
We've built a team with less holes in it, but without that big leap in quality we all expected, because Marotta fed us some bogus stories. These stories make some people hate Marotta a bit more than they would had he not said a thing, but hey, that's his own fault I guess. We really should've gotten atleast a CB or LB, especially since Conte really didn't want Ziegler. We failed to really offload a lot of players, but that's not so easy to do when they're unbelievably stubborn, meh.
The players you mention
can be really good if they show up, but it's quite a big 'if'... Maybe Bonucci will do a lot better with a proper RB next to him, but I doubt we'll see that great of an improvement... Maybe PDC will continue to grow... Maybe Vidal will prove to be that monster in midfield allowing Pirlo to play his game more than we expect...
Well, you know what I'm getting at here, we're a bit of an unknown, but we need a lot of luck and Conte to be really good at organizing this 442 of his. I just hope and pray we get off to a good start, get momentum going.. new stadium, enthousiasm..
I still think we'll get fucked in our ass because of our backline / mid 2 with Pirlo in it though.
