Let's STOP overrating Melo please. loaning him for 1.3 million was a disaster of epic proportion, but everyone in Italy fucking hated him. He semi-redeemed himself last season but he was still unstable and inconsistent.
Melo, Diego and Amauri should be playing beach-football in Brazil.

Secco forked out 75 million for players who shouldn't even be professional european footballers, and Juve is still cleaning up after his mess.

Well then why stick with 4-4-2 and why not keep all of Melo and Vidal and Gio? Diego I don't care as much about tbh.
bc we have a coach that uses 4-4-2 or 4-2-4.

agreed with thirdstar, melo is overrated by many on the forum. i liked is attitude and grit, but he lost his head to often, and offered 0 going forward.

gio imo is also overrated. he had his chance in juve, and from what i saw, he was not good enough. gio was a ballhog and kept loosing the ball to often.

@ Melo: The top players are Pirlo, Vidal and Vucinic.

Once Man City came in for Dzeko last year and Aguero this year, we were out of the running, 100 %. Marotta, nor Galliani, or whoever the fuck (in Italy, I must add), can compete with Man City's wallet.

I think Marotta seriously considered the Rossi-deal, though, but I think he opted for the smarter solution: Vucinic, who is just as skillful (with lots of Serie-A experience), saving the club money in the process.

Melo lost his head once last year. Other than that, he was solid as a rock. I don't know if he would've been as good under Conte as Delneri but his confidence was there and we totally fucked it by sending him to Turkey.

He worked very hard, but his positioning was all over the place. Just terrible. I noticed that he gave 110 % for the shirt and all that, but he still had a shit season. Like I said, beach-soccer-player. Nada tactical awareness. Shocking clearances. Running around like a headless chicken. If Gala excersises the buy-out clause then Marotta will have done the deal of the century. I believe they won't, though, because he's shit.

Yes, they do. Both Diego and Gio can play as a SS in a 4-4-2 with Gio also able to play LW.

maybe thay can, but not very effectivly, and would be a much worse option than matri or vucinic. they are not good at scoring goals, and have no strenght.

Gio didn't have a proper run in the team ever and neither has Diego in a more advanced role.

gio had he chance, he didnt show he was good enough in training nor matches. diego had a year, and was not good.

:cronios: ?
melo was a good destroyer and as pure DM, so offering more will not be that hard..

That's just wrong.
Yeah?

We're talking about the same Melo, right? The one that shocked an entire world in the 2010 World Cup? The one that doesn't know how to be tactical on the pitch? The player who roars like an idiot and screams of joy just because he was able to make one tackle? The one who kicks other players in the head? If so, then I'm pretty sure I'm not wrong.

And is it so that the Diego of whom you speak, is not the one with the last name "Ribas da Cunha", who showed his true worth at Juventus and at Wolsburg last season? We'll see how it goes in Atletico, but all I have to say is: poor, poor fans.

Amauri, I'm not even gonna comment on him...
