Release clause?

Well there is Marchisio (already pretty much benched), Pirlo, Llorente who are near 4M.

Which logically leads you into thinking about who we really need to bench? Then you realize our squad is pretty fucking good already. Then you start to think about buying bench players. :howler:
I've always said our squad is stacked, but we need something more creative offensively, something we've clearly been missing, hence the Sanchez, Iturbe and Nani rumors. We have no offensive midfielders or wingers. And if 4-3-1-2 is the new formation, then signing a creative offensive midfielder is a must.

From last year's squad, Asamoah and one of the 3 central defenders are the ones that would have to hit the bench. Asamoah will probably be benched for Evra and one of the CB's need to be benched for something more on offense. None of our high earners will make 4m on the bench.

Would anyone want to bench:

Lichtsteiner-Barzagli-Chiellini-Asamoah? Not really.

Would anyone bench Pogba-Vidal? Not really.

Would anyone bench Tevez? Not really.

Buffon? Not really.

Llorente and Pirlo? Tough call.

Bonucci? Yes.

Suddenly when you look around the squad for people to bench you can't really find any. There's one spot and that's Bonucci's. You take him out and add an attacker. Mercato is still open, we're still looking.

Yeah but the problem is Marotta keeps wasting money on useless bench players without any useful input on our game plan, they don't offer anything new or effective when they come off the bench, and then he just recycles them in a season or two.

Yes, he has done some fails definitely. Peluso was an stupid signing. I dont know who suggested this man.... because he was simply bad.

I think marotta is hoping for the newcomers to make a direct impact. I dont think they will bench Tevez and LLorente, but think about how many games we had that Llorente or Tevez were not clicing...and we didnt had any proper player to replace them...
Well i hope that at least now we will have options to surprise our enemies with this new adittions.

Ye well you're right about thart.
Before aside Tevez and Llorente we had nothing......... Quagliarella was perm out and never considered. Giovinco everytime sucked. Vucinic was injured for few months and Osvaldo played little to nothing (doing little to nothing XD)
Still i'll see what kind of ATT we'll get cause atm we have 3 and Morata will be out for 40days at best.

Yes, we made them because at the time we had nothing. Juventus came from two straight 7th places with less revenues than today. Now we've peaked.. so now what?
I don't think we peak for this period until next season, looking at the projections. But remember we were set to spend €25m+ on Iturbe even this season.

Yes, we had nothing. Giovinco playing as an SS in our 352 was a waste of time for both him and us, and all our other old strikers were just not in Conte´s plans, rigghtly so.

Now is different. We seems to have 2 skilled players coming from the bench in morata and Coman. And if Allegri figures out how to use Gio and revitalize him..we can have potentially 3. I still think the little man has something to give, but our 352 was just not optimal in any way. Lets hope allegri has other plans and will hsake things up a little upfront.

doubt it tbh who else would be willing to sell a hot prospect for 4 mil upfront
Who else is around who plays in that position, other than Shaqiri? Maybe a late cut price deal on Nani, that is the type of thing I expect. To drag that particular move late out in the window and try to snipe someone.

Too much. He/They is/are afraid to spend on XI starer.
It's better to get 2 benchers for almost 40m than 1-2 starters. Like Shaqiri or Isco. Better benchemen such as Morata and Pereyra and then i read some people claiming i'm a troll simply cause i don't like the way Marotta manage Juventus and waste money over useless players.
With all the signing we made so far only one will prolly be a starter! THE 33yrs old Evra!!!!
For the rest Morata and Pereyra will be subs for Llorente and a midfielder.

Honestly i prefere 15 awesome players than 22 normal ones.
Evra a starter? Yeah, good luck in benching Asamoah.

BTW our mercato is not over, the likes of Shaqiri can still arrive.

And you can't leave gaps or holes in the team just because you have to do your shiny 40M signing. Someone like Morata was needed, and we need also another CF, if you want to know. We needed Evra. Wee needed Pereyra. And we do need also another back-up in the midfield. And if we didn't buy them, people like you would complain about Marrone or Padoin being "inadequate players" for a team like us, and "unreliable subs". Those would be your words, and you would crucify the board. Because THAT is the best part: those who's criticized Marotta for having a team with Peluso, Vucinic, Quagliarella, Isla as subs (like if our priority was the bench in last years), now that we managed to sell them, we complain to him for buying great young prospect as subs. You'd want a team made of very few players, all already world class and experienced. That's the truth.

But no, we have to buy Sanchez, so fuck it, let's have a team of 15 players... THAT is the way to success.

So far, the mercato is a 6. We got a quality LB in Evra (even tho he is old as dirt), and some depth/youth signings.

We still haven't acquired that much needed AM/TQ, and if it ends up being Candreva, the mercato goes down to 4 for misappropriation of funds :D

6 is fair, but we have no idea what formation will be adopted so that number could go up or down depending on that factor.

I think we already did, by switching from 3-5-2 to a two man defence, we will only need 2 starter CBs (Chiellini, Barza) and two subs (Bonucci+Ogbonna).
We have them, we are ready. for the three man attack, we have one starter CF (Llorente) and now one sub CF (Morata)
So, whats left is 2 starter SSs and two subs, with Vucinic and Quaq gone, our subs will be Giovinco and Pepe
Tevez one of the two starters and the other starter was meant to be Iturbe, but Roma despite offering 5mil less, managed to steal him from our grasp, so we took the next compromise and thats Pereyra.
I believe our mercato has concluded...
