He still needs to man up big time though, he seems far more concerned with hugging the oppositions players opposed to actually keeping the ball out of the net. He needs to ditch that stupid headband and actually start taking these situations seriously. As far as I'm concerned this season manninger>>>>>>>Buffon

But Manninger did mistakes as well!! remember Lazio game? Although I must admit, Gigi isn't the the one we used to know...

i like yr posts but to be honest this one is just not right and realistic. he conceded 3 goals yeah he might have been able to pull one out but did'nt but there is no way on earth manninger is better than buffon i'm sorry thats way far fetched.

buffon is still finding his form and its only normal that he concedes when he has the average line of defence we have.

these few pages just remind me soo much of what happens in the trez thread its just lame!

The job of a world class goalkeeper (ie. Buffon, Casillas, Cech) is to never cost his team a goal (ie Manny vs Lazio, Abbiati vs Bayern, Chimenti vs Milan). Even Cech fucked up against Turkey, remember?
But Gigi has never cost us anything.
If he manages to pull a miracle and save the unsavable - GREAT, if he doesn't save every point blank shot or one-on-ones left and right nobody has the right to blame him.
The only reason people dare criticize Gigi for Pellisier's hattrick is because it's Gigi, he made us used to miracles.
But trust me, no one would save those, they were just perfect finishes.

Don't be a retard, and quit giving him shit.

Forza Gigi, grazie per esistere!

They werent perfect finishes, he could have done better in the 2nd goal for sure, and it was dissapointing it past him that easily. Gigi isnt his self, and needs to rebound back, thats for sure.

Manchester derby for Gigi

There are sensational reports in Italy that Manchester United are ready to fight Manchester City for the signature of Gigi Buffon.

Azzurri goalkeeper Buffon has become a Juve talisman, but the Bianconeri have admitted that they would have to consider a bid of around £50m.

According to Tuttosport, moneymen Manchester City aren't the only side looking to bring Buffon to Lancashire.

The Turin-based newspaper claims that United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has also set his heart on luring Gigi.

A bid of around £70m could persuade Juve to relinquish their grip on Buffon and a bidding war could start this summer.

There are also whispers that Spanish side Barcelona are planning to make a move.

they can keep their 50-70 million dollar bids...i dont want their money, nor should we. The basis of our team is built around the best goalie in the world IMO, it starts at the back and works its way forward...who would we possibly get to replace him? Please do not say Manniger...I would be devastated should we let him go, especially to an English team...f*ck that
