I have a feeling he'll stay, the only thing sure is, IMO, we won't know anything reliable untill the transfer period kicks off.

I liked the fact that Secco said Gigi wont leave for less than 50m pounds & i honestly think that would certainly ease the pain of losing him.We could build a stellar squad if the money were to be spent wisely & on prospects coming into their peak.

This shit of paying ridiculous amounts of money on players nearing their 30's annoys the crap outta me & its about time it changes for the good of the team.

m_ellayan will now be shouting that buffon should leave....his hearts not in it.blah, blah, blah

you tend to find that these people believe everything they read. in fact they are like the people of Springfield at times, mad mob mentality, then there is a "hey, this guys alright" moment and they down the pickaxes
no i will not say that , but if he want to leave why not cash from him , sell him to Milan not INTER and get amelia instead of him

What are you all upset about?
I mean, we got Belardi :D
No withouth joking, once a Juventino, always a Juventino.
I don't care if he's 18, 25, 30 or 36, if he loves Juve with whole his heart, he stays.
But he's getting irritating with his comments about the future whole the time.
IF he leaves, no deal should be made with Abbiati, maybe a good keeper like Akinfeev.

DD hails priceless Buffon Thursday 26 April, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus Coach Didier Deschamps wants Gigi Buffon to remain in Turin as the goalkeeper is priceless.

The goalkeeper seems set to move on in the summer and Milan are reported to be ready to move for him.

Sporting director Alessio Secco has refused to rule out the possibility of his departure, if the Bianconeri are offered the right price.

“I have no doubts on this issue, he is very important for us,” said Deschamps to the Press on Thursday.

“Other teams have the right to dream of signing him, but he is focused on returning to Serie A and that is enough for me.

“Buffon is priceless. He is contracted to us and I don’t think this is the right moment to discuss his future. This is also true for myself, I have a contract with Juventus and I intend to honour it.”

Juventus will play Verona on Friday, the first of three consecutive matches away from the Stadio Olimpico, and Deschamps is aware they will be crucial in the race to Serie A.

“Verona will give their all against us. The stadium will be full and they have very fast offensive players that can cause problems.

“In addition, playing away from home is never easy, for us as well as for other teams. We have to think about playing one match at a time.

“I don’t believe there are any chances of losing concentration during this period, this is our final sprint,” concluded Deschamps.

Juventus (probable): Buffon, Birindelli, Legrottaglie, Zebina, Chiellini, Giannichedda, Nedved, Camoranesi, Marchisio, Del Piero, Trezeguet

look, if buffon was going to leave it would have been more likely last summaer, whats the point in leaving, you knew what you were getting into.to me it seems like a weird step, i know he wants CL but coming up with juve, you'd expect that he would stay, i hope he does.

how is gila worthless?? he is one of the best italian forwards around, his record at parma and at milan is very respectable, and i'm sure it will only get better.

I agree that hes not worthless but I feel we need a strker that can offer more than just goal poaching abilties.. I would love a powerful CF like Drogba the way Christian Vieri was.

Even when they dont have the ball they hassle defenders and give them trouble.. the likes of Trez, Gila and Inzaghi are invisible if they have no service.
