Why do a lot of us (Juventini) act as if Buffon has already decided to leave Delle Alpi? Is there any new news or is there any confirmation?
m_ellayan will now be shouting that buffon should leave....his hearts not in it.blah, blah, blah

you tend to find that these people believe everything they read. in fact they are like the people of Springfield at times, mad mob mentality, then there is a "hey, this guys alright" moment and they down the pickaxes

I might be a little naive, but I think Buffon being our 3rd captain this season, actually wearing the armband a couple of times, and the perspective of captaining a club like Juventus in the near future will encourage Gigi to stay :pint:

Thats a case with all players then.Any player who doesnt make the effort is useless.
True, but for example, I feel more confident of a player like Huntelaar making an effort then Cassano, he proved to be very difficult in the last few years.
It was just an example, I ain't saying Huntelaar and Cassano are two the same type of players

But a very good player.
I prefer players with good attitude.

This how will be spending the 80mil.
20mil Chivu
35mil Gerrand
25mil Henry
tuttosport
I would take only Gerrard from this trio, Henry will never join us again and he wouldn´t fit in Italy, I still believe so. Chivu is overpriced, he ain´t that good and I prefer Mexes or even Ferrari. Gerrard is the shizzle. :agree:

I really hope Buffon stays, but I guess realistically (depending on Buffon's personal preferrance) I think Secco made the right comments.

If we're gonna let him go, we're gonna do so for tons of money.

Out of curiosity, why did Buffon and Capello have a falling-out? I don't even think Capello would deal with him most of the time, he has a goalkeeping coach...

Buffon to join Milan?
Thursday 26 April, 2007

Reports in Italy suggest that Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon will join Milan in the summer, with Christian Abbiati heading the other way.

The world champion has kept his promise of helping the club return to Serie A after last summer’s Calciopoli demotion, but is now ready to move on to pastures new.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Buffon has finalised a pact with the Old Lady and has agreed to turn down any offer from Inter, in order to avoid problems with the supporters.

Buffon’s likely destination therefore becomes Milan, who are reportedly ready to offer Juventus £25m plus Christian Abbiati, who is currently on loan with Torino.

Sporting director Alessio Secco reiterated on Wednesday that Buffon is not for sale, but refused to make any promises, fuelling speculation that a summer move is indeed on the cards.

In the meantime, the Bianconeri are looking for possible alternatives and have eyed Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc.

The Polish No 1, who was also linked with a move to Milan, is contracted to the Bhoys until 2009. He impressed this term with some stunning displays in the Champions League.

Here we go, not a day has passed since Secco said what he said and he's already sold in the press. :disagree:
