Bolton goalie is good but not juve class. Given is ace but don't think he would leave Newcastle or the premiership.

Don't know much about Ochoa and Ustari exept that they are highly rated and good on football manager but I am not a big fan of South American keepers generally.

What are Weidenfeller and Hildebrand like these days? They were very highly rated a few years ago.

Ochoa and Ustari seem to be great young goalkeepers according to some Latin posters from another board.

Oh and the goalkeeper that plays for Bolton (couldn't spell his name) is abolute world class. So is Newcastle's Shay Given.
Peter Cech would have been nice too but he's untouchable
:agree: But Newcastle's Given is a fantastic goalie...though cant be compared to Gigi

craig gordon of hearts is probably a superb goalie, he is young and really talented!!!!!! ive seen him a couple of times and everytime he never disappoints me. he is not gigi class at the moment but i'd give hi a year or two and he would be just fantastic.

Boruc is a very good keeper, pulled off a brilliant save in the las minute at part head to stop Aberdeen equalising and has made very few mistakes this season generally.

Craig Gordon is very good for his age and will become one of the best keepers in Europe in a few years but right now he is still quite raw and prone to some handling errors. Gordon is not good enough for juve now but in 2-3 years he will be. Unfortunately I suspect he will go to Arsenal this summer to replace Lehman.

boruc is starting to look a great keeper and it is believed several clubs are watching him closely.
as for my good friend ahmed, you are right craig gordon is definately one of the top young keepers in europe, this laddie is going to be world class and one of teh top keepers in the world if he keeps progressing the way he has. unfortunately he will have to leave hearts to realise his potential and with palermo already looking at him along with arsenal and several other clubs, i feel he would be a smash wherever he goes

It will be interesting to see when he goes to a big club whether they will veiw him as No.1 straight away or if they will loan him out for a season or two to develop further.

Although I adore Gigi, saying that you wouldn´t trade him for Kaka is just lame FFS. (Not you, Ahmed :p)
You mean me? Kaka is a good player & has shown that he has talent since a youngster, but Gigi is the best goallie in the world & Juve have no suitable replacement for him. Gigi is a man of intelligence, integrity & is also potential captain material for Juve. So, sorry Mark, I still wouldn't swap Gigi for Ricky. The cost to the team unity, the defence, team spirit, & potential leadership quality, as well as the financial cost says a big no to this swap, especially as we want to be competitive in Serie A right away. Taking away Buffon would mean Juve would need more time to sort out their defences for next season. I don't want Juve to end up back in serie B the following season like Milan did. If Secco wanted to buy Kaka - fine - as long as he did not do so by swapping players that were vital to us being competitive & Gigi is one such player. We will just have to agree to differ on this point, I'm afraid!

Going by Bozi's post, I think that Bozi wouldn't really like him to leave the "jam tarts". Besides, if he needs time to "realise his potential", then He may not be able to replace Gigi immediately. A future prospect perhaps?

you are right i would ahte to see him leave the JT's just now but we are all realistic enough to realise he will be away this year. so if he has to go then what betetr club than juve?
sure he is still a little bit raw but look at gigi when we signed him, how much ahs he improved?being at a top club will amke craig gordon into one of the worlds tp keepers, mark my words. however it is impossible for anyone to fill gigi's boots at the moment

No, I didn´t mean you too. :p I˙have to say I see a little bias against Milan players in this case from you ;) cause no Milan players can compare and are not worth as Kaka.

Gigi is the best, a leader and God knows what else, but you are putting too much ephasys on a goalkeeper. Let´s not forget that Milan who had Dida, Barcelona who has Victor Valdes, etc. have won trophies in the past with lesser keepers.

Just imagine what would Kaka mean to this team....

I would say any fan desiring to trade or sell Buffon is completely out of his mind. Wake up. Buffon is not only the best keeper thesedays, he is a level above number 2 which is Casillas.

Madness...
