Here are the words of Milan's director general Ariedo Braida :

“We are interested in all great champions and Buffon is one of them,” continued the Rossoneri official.

“If Juventus were to put him on the transfer market then we would definitely consider making an offer to sign him.”

Aha!:eyebrows: Braida has a death wish. :boxing: :ferocious :skull:

Why would we trade the best keeper the game has ever seen at all?

Why not convince him to stay with us the rest of his career? ;)
:agree: Word!

I would not change Gigi with the whole milan team
:agree: Gigi is worth more than all of them.

it seems that both milan and inter are gonna try and test our resolve by offering big bucks for superman. if the board was to sell him and i was gigi i would do this............

1. ask for a transfer

2.move to inter

3.pick up a shitload of wages

4. pretend to eb injured for the rest of my career

5.plough ms.seredova every day of the week and laugh that moratti pays you for this

Although I adore Gigi, saying that you wouldn´t trade him for Kaka is just lame FFS. (Not you, Ahmed :p)
Kaka isn't enough since juve still have to get a decent replacement for Buffon(there is a high number of good attacking midfielders in the game atm n a limited number of good keepers)

What some people fail to realize is that you cannot be the best side in the world without a world class shotstopper. Look at the past "great sides" and tell me who they had in goal.

The Juventus with Zoff, Buffon and Tacconi.
The Man United with Schmeichel.
The Arsenal with Seaman.
Bayern München with Kahn.
Nottingham Forest back in the day with Peter Shilton.

The examples are many.

I think one of the reasons why Liverpool struggles to win the Premiership is the fact that they have sorely been lacking a world class goalkeeper for quite some time. Dudek was brilliant for them in the CL campaign, though.

For me, it's one of the most important positions to make sure you fill with a brilliant player.

We have the best of them all and his name is Gianluigi Buffon.

I understand why some people would be tempted to switch him with Kaka (in theory) seeing as exceptional a player Kaka is, but I'm not one of these people. Buffon is too precious.

There is nobody like Kaka. Players like him get born once in 10 years. He would be the next Zidane for Juventus and we know what he meant to any football club he played for (and France NT).

Football keeper is very important, gives you security at the back and commands the defence line, but there is no way you can compare Gigi with Kaka.

On the market Kaka is worth twice more for a good reason.

Gigi will be absolutely vital unless we sign a couple of out of this world centre halfs. Would be devastated if he left and Kaka is the only Milan player who would really compensate for his loss.

Out of interest, who do folk think we should go for as a replacement if he did leave?

I'm not sure to be honest. Don't know too much about Amelia. Coupet, maybe?

Amelia is the only one that sprung to mind for me. Aren't many good goalies who will be available.

I doubt Gigi will go to Inter and hopefully Milan will go for Amelia and leave us alone. If Milan sign Ronaldinho like they keep banging on about doing they won't be able to afford Gigi.

Ochoa and Ustari seem to be great young goalkeepers according to some Latin posters from another board.

Oh and the goalkeeper that plays for Bolton (couldn't spell his name) is abolute world class. So is Newcastle's Shay Given.
Peter Cech would have been nice too but he's untouchable
