If they should leave we will swap Buffon for the three of them. :p
I don't think it is a fair swap. Milan will lose a bit with this kind of swape.
But we can add 1m$ and it will be more than fair :p

Are you a Milan fan though? Your viewpoint seems illogical for a Juventus fan.
I definitely think he's a Milan fan. After reading all of his posts i'm sure he isn't a Juve and Inter fan , because he said the best place for Buffon is where he can play with other Italians and no Inter fan would have said that.

Juve, Milan or Inter fan ~ he is welcomed here. I like a good fight :p

my location is Serie A... couldn't that mean i'm a Parma fan?

it's not like Buffon wasn't at Parma before... and that for the good of his career he moved on to Juve where he had a better chance to challenge for major trohpies... and i doubt Parma fans were happy to see him leave... but knew that it was only fair to let Buffon go for the general good...

and isn't it true that for the good of Italian football that no Italian player should ever play for Inter? they are reknown to lack a winnin' mentality... movin' there would only destroy whatever good they have done in their career...

and i'm not too keen about Toni leavin' Fiorentina for Bayern Munich... does that make me a Fiorentina fan? and didn't i mention it was bad for Italian football to lose their players to another league?

Why won't you admit to who you support? Being a Milan fan doesn't make you a bad person. :p

i support Italy & Italian football... that's why i want their top players to be constantly engaged into top level competitions...

the Bundesliga cannot provide that for Toni & Juve cannot provide that for Buffon...

so it is wrong to think that i want all the top Italian players to make the decision that is best for the national team?

That's the only explanation for what he says. I think he's a Milan fan.

If he's a Milan fan then i can tell him this ~~ Kaka, Nesta and Pirlo didn't win shit with Milan in last 2 years. If you get fucked up again in champions league, and you will, then it is going to be 3 years winning shit.
They deserve to win trophies and in Milan they obviously can't win anything.

They must leave Milan for the sake of their career and Milan mustnt tie them down
You said it all man... he lost :D

I meant generally, not just Italian teams, unless you don't have a specific team and therefore aren't a real fan in my opinion.

His an inter fan only an inter fan would be embaressed to admit which team he supports
:toast:
No he's not Inter fan. Previously he said how Buffon should chose a proper Italian team that actually has Italians for his teammates.
How could an Inter fan say something like this ? :p
Unless it was a typo and he meant in his next team Buffon should have Argentinians, not Italians for teammates, then he's not Interista.

 great fiore.

That guy must be a milan fan, cause he only "wants what is best for Buffon" thus he should go to Milan so Italian football improves, i haven't heard that much bs since i dont know when.

Why do some people think that the best for a footballer's career is just winning trophies?

There are lots of great players who haven't won valuable trophies in their careers, even though, they've achieved things which are much much bigger than money and trophies, their fans' respect before love.

Batistuta, he played for Fiorentina for 10 years without having an eye on winning trophies. He transfered to Roma after that, he is still a legend though in Florence. Totti is another example. Most of Real Madrid players haven't won one single trophy for 4 successive seasons, still they show commitment and respect to their team. Henry never asked Arsenal to leave, despite the fact that Arsenal haven't been the same team as the stunning one 3 years ago and aren't expected to challenge ManUtd, Chelsea and Liverpool for the next season EPL.

Even though, Buffon is a different case. He won a lot with Juve since he joined 6 years ago. The only season without a medal was season 2003/2004. Juve and only Juve were the one who made him Campioni Del Mondo, the best goalkeeper in the world and having millions of fans from around the world.

I reckon it isn't a big deal for Buffon to wait for just two seasons without trophies. I'm not saying that he'd be ungrateful if he decides to forsake us, he's free to choose his next destination. But Juventus are still Juventus, always bigger and forever greater.

real madrid players showing commitment?

anyway every player has his own desires. buffon said he misses european nights. juve wont be in europe atleast for another season. maybe he wants to have a new expierence, not everyone is like dp or totti who would stay with one club.

i see i have gathered a followin' here... from mindless banter about me losin' it... to inquisitive minds about my allegiance... to assumptions of me havin' discomfort about revealin' which club i support... etc...

let me put it this way... if it was Juve playin' Man Utd in the CL semis instead of Milan... i would support Juve equally... if it was Fiorentina... Parma... i would give the same support...

so does that make me not a real fan? is it wrong to embrace all of Italian football?

@ Ahmedios... didn't Batistuta leave Fiorentina in pursue of trohpies? didn't Ronaldo leave Real Madrid for pastures green? didn't Emerson... Zambrotta... Cannavaro... Mutu leave a sunken ship?

so while cases like Totti are rare... most players do want to join clubs that could provide challenges for major trophies... but it doesn't mean they would win it... it is about their ambition to be fightin' for major trohpies... i never once said it was about winnin' them... but rather to challenge for them...

finally... i see this discussion goin' no where... and has drifted away from its primary purpose... feel free to go on about it... but my part ends here...

Raul, Casillas, Salgado, Roberto Carlos, Guti and before them Figo. Real Madrid was the one who let the latter go.

I mentioned that Batistuta waited for 10 seasons not to play in the top level, whereas Buffon has been in Serie B for just one season. As for Ronaldo, he left Real Madrid because he didn't adapt to Capello's tactics, besides, he isn't an example to be taken.

All the players who left the sunken ship differ from Buffon. He already took the decision not to leave Juve even in Serie B, so waiting for another season not to play in Europe isn't the issue here.

And who said that if Buffon stays with Juve, he won't compete for major trophies? In the next season, we'll be in Serie A and no one can expect what will happen. And in the season after, we'll be competing for everything and mark my words.
