I think Bonaventura is a decent player, people are being too harsh on him. However, it seems like a heavy price (arguable because prices nowadays are just stupid).

Still, pretty disappointing if we're planning to strenghten our midfield with Bonaventura and Can. Both are nice player (Can being the better one), but those names don't sound like the ones that carry you towards the CL trophy.

our transfer window should be focused on signing Can for free and then putting pretty much the rest of the budget into one world class CM

I think Matuidi can still be useful provided he is surrounded by players who are much more technical.

Definitely inconvenient to have such a limited player though
