What the hell? Germany had easy opponents in Argentina and Sweden, while Italy was so unfortunate to draw Ukraine and Australia

And how has Italy shown that they really deserve it either?? (Ahem, Aussssstraaalia) :disagree:

hmm lets see how has italy deserved it????
oh i dont know i guess winning the toughest group in the tournament means nothing, and by the way who was in germany's group.....i would say they got the lucky end of that deal. I guess recieving a horrible red card leaving the aussies up a man for 40 minutes or so and defending well means nothing. look at every match italy has played and you'll see they have had more chances to score then their opponents.

i think not letting an opponent to score on your goal the entire tournament and average almost 2 goals a game is deserving enough

That's nothing. I am waaaaaay over here in Trinidad and I just wondered (not accused) if the Germans were cheating and one went off on me like a lunatic, attacking my character for several DAYS afterwards. And poor me had nothing to do with them out of the final. And actually this was BEFORE they were out of the final. I can only imagine the trashing I would have gotten if I had said it AFTER they had gone out of the final.
That's why I recommended you to stay here, at least u wil have no trouble. :eyebrows:

::Laughs:: Well I kinda moderate the forum so while I can stay here, I have to be there as well. No worries though because I warned her and I sent a PM to the admin of the board and my co-mod so if she tries to act up again, well you know the drill. ;)

There was a big hype in Germany for the world cup. Many people who cheered the national team did it, because it was the cool thing to do these days. I guess many of them don't even know how many players are usually on the pitch. They are mad because there is a reason less to drink and party. In 2 months many of them wont't be interested in football anymore. Real football fans accept the fact that a good German side lost after a big fight and classic football game against a great italian side.
I am waiting for the day, where the not football fans lose the interset in football. it is terible to see them talking about football. in this point I agree with you..

but the german media have also been unfair with italy. they showed respect for other team that faced germany, but they showed not respect towards Italy. I am not only talking about "BILD", because I know that they always talk bullshit. but I was really upset that a magazin like "Spiegel" does such a thing. that was even before it was clear that germany will face Italy.

May all the bad will and rubbish spoken about us continue - the players seem to thrive off the energy.

I don't mind my NT being disliked, I just smile because it comes from countries who have no right to look down at us.

Die Zeit informed us "The Mafia (sic.) are in the final".
Die Zeit? Again, isn't that supposed to be a 'quality' medium?

That's what I thought as well. This is scandalous if you ask me.

I simply can't believe how childish the Germans have been towards the Italians.

Well that's the Germans for you. You wouldn't believe the amount of crap they threw our way for failing to play offensively, conviently forgetting they raped that concept themselves in 1954 and 1974 by controversially beating offensively playing sides like Hungary and Holland.

Shame, the country has potential...

I just responsed in the forum of the "Die Zeit" .. I wrote that it is a shame for germany. such articeles may come from Newspapers like "BILD" but not from "Die Zeit" or "Spiegel"..

another german user wrote:
It is a shame for us, the italians were just better than us and their coach made better substitutions. we must remember 1990, as all the italians were for us, can not we do that?? do we not have the format for that??

in the match Portugal-holland the german fans in the stadium started to sing "we are going to berlin without holland".. I just thought, are they crazy? this is a clear provucation for the thousends of holland fans there. if any problems are caused after the match they will say, take a look at holland fans, but actualy they were gonna cause problems with their provucation.

Glad that didn't work. When have you ever heard of Oranje fans rioting anyway? I love how that disease hasn't spread to the national team supporters (yet).

Eredivisie clubs, on the other hand... :lazy:

It's funny how Ballack and Kahn now have to state that the bronze medal is "important too". Yeah, whatever, guys :D.

In the meantime, Ballack is out of that match "injured" and Kahn is playing because Lehmann said "I think you should play a game too" :lol2:
