Really enjoyed that show (only seen 2 season myself as well). Every episode just makes you want to watch the next one.

I heard that from a number of people, yet when reading the synopsis; "Bright and sharp law school graduate Ellen Parsons becomes the protégée of the successful and hard-hitting high stakes litigator Patricia Hewes. But nothing is what it seems." I get completely turned off. :undecide:

Give it a try, man!

I picked up the dvd boxset once because it was really cheap, so I figured it was worth a shot. I was pleasantly surprised, especially by the 1st season. Well written, interesting characters, pretty suspenseful plot. And indeed, nothing is what it seems, which is mostly a good thing since it keeps you guessing.

I already recommended it to you before, but you chose to ignore it.

Weeds is pretty amusing. Has some great moments, but also some rather lame episodes.
I am currently watching season 3 (almost finished it): slow start, but the last few episodes I've seen are great.

Scrubs is really good, so are both the original & the US version of the Office. You could also try Extras. Maybe Absolutely Fabulous, but that's an acquired taste (and not that recent either). Little Britain (the original, not the US one) if you're into sketches.

For the more serious stuff: as Lion pointed out, The Shield is quite good. I also like Damages, but I've only seen the 1st season so far.

last couple of weeks i got caught up watching the rest of "The Wire" caused me to not post on here that much but i wanted to get it all done before the new season started....plus it was incredible

have to say i think some of the last season betrayed the great storylines they had built up over the first 4 series. Freamon and McNulty's campaign against Marlow seemed to be an afterthought at times despite being the main reason for their elaborate lie. i also felt that they ballsed up not letting Omar get his shot at Marlow
that said i loved the way the story finished up,although depressing at the same time

But with the lack of geeky humor, I started watching The Big Bang Theory and I gotta say, it's pretty good. I prefer the brittish humor from IT Crowd, but this ain't half bad.

I actually prefer IT Crowd to Father Ted. The humor is there, but the characters are much better in IT Crowd if you ask me. In Father Ted, the old man is awesome, the retard is so-so and Father Ted is annoying. I only watched the first 3 episodes but that's my impression.

Yeah, I was sad when I saw Denholm is gone but his exit made that up. A pure WTF moment. And Douglas picked up rather nicely.

I can't believe you like this character, it's the most lazy, uncreative trash of a character.

It's so obvious how Ron and Moss were crafted, but Douglas is pure filler. It's so typical of comedy shows where the fringe characters completely suck. "Yeah, let's have a boss with a big ego who's also stupid. They'll never see that coming!"
