I admit I do find the show very slow, but the pay offs to be exciting.

I'm in a tv series drought, so downloading Community season 1 to try it out ( I go through comedies quickly, though rarely follow them, just catch an ep here and there), and started and Canadian supernatural series called Lost Girls.

I like Community, but it never became a habit. Some very clever storytelling and unique approaches... the closest I've seen in a comedy next to two seasons ago of Louie, which nobody can touch.

Comedy rarely becomes a habit for me (no persistent storytelling formula as it is in regular tv series, that continuation can keep me watching even shit CW teen tv series, but not so with comedies), usually not worth downloading for me and I just watch random re-runs on tv. Only exception is Modern Family, and its not really because I find it that good, though its kinda charming in its bland style of comedy.

I can't look at comments about Modern Family without mentioning the stillborn Sons & Daughters, which heavily inspired it. More improv, but also the comedic situations were less hokey and contrived than I find on Modern Family.
