It's impossible to have a government that's ruled by Islamic law because as you can tell everyone has their own interpretation of what that should be. The Pakistani government did a research study some time back (somewhere in the 70's or something) where they asked clergy of different sects who had the correct interpretation of Islam and who was a Kafir (non-believer) and they all claimed they were right and everyone else was a kafir. So go figure.
I don't if you're aware of it but by saying there is no way to a have government that's ruled by Islam, you're defying Quran. I also don't know why are you obsessed with this interpratation thing but Allah send us Islam to practice it until the last of the days. Quran and Sunnah, that is what matters.
Not cool, there are no Ismaili here. Mostly Hanafi then there are Maliki, Shafi'i, Hanbali. Quran tell us how to adjust every aspect of our life including the government, by saying it is impossible have a Islamic government, you're defying the very simple logic. It's impossible because there's no place where 100% of an entire population belongs to the same school of thought. Why should an atheist/agnostic, Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, or Shia (and I'm not even going to list all the different schools of thoughts therein), follow for ex. the Wahabbi interpretation of Islamic Law?
Again, you say that the Qur'an says that we should have an Islamic government, please show me where.
No one said you can't practice your religion. You can practice it as much as you want but why do you have to force others to do the same? Instead, if the majority of your population want to incorporate tenets of Islamic belief because everyone agrees they're good to have then why not implement it that way?

No one said you can't practice your religion. You can practice it as much as you want but why do you have to force others to do the same? What did i just say? Our only guide is Prophet(pbuh). Did he run the state with secular government? What is the point of having a religion when you are ready to trade it with man made law.

Non-Muslims are not forced to choose Islam but that has nothing to do with secular government.

This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion.
If you were a non-muslim that would be understandable as you don't believe in Islam therefore you prefer man made law but you do not make sense while claim to be Muslim and defy the Islamic rule. Trust me that interpretation card is no excuse for not applying Sharia and will not work for anyone when they are questioned in judgement day about why they did not follow what is revealed to them by Allah.
Unpracticed religion is dead religion. Those who want to install secular governments in Muslim lands are not doing it because they wish best for us. You're so concerned about what will happen to non-Muslims under Muslim rule. Well, you can read history and see what happened or what did not happen. Did you ever ask about what will happen to millions of Muslims who are living under un-Islamic rule? No need to look far for what happened and what is happening right now. All of the mess in the region is work of precious secular governments.
