Is Navalny even THAT famous/well respected among your average people in Russia?
I’m sure he is.
Just look at his YouTube channel- he regularly gets over 10 million views with a 99% like rate. His last two videos have more than 20 million views. I know YouTube stats are not a great indicator in general, but when Putin manipulates every poll to his favor, what else are you left with?

Sooner or later the fridge will beat the televison and the regime will fall. It's inevitable really. Every cleptocratic dicatorship falls eventually anyway and Putin's seems closer to it than ever tbh.
Since the dawn of time Russians have blamed their empty fridges on their local politician = corrupt bad guy, while the tsar was the honest good guy who 'just can't be everywhere at once'

FIUUUU, good guy tsar fired bad guy mayor and everything will be fine now! But wait, the new mayor is also a bad guy? Is that because his job description says 'steal from people and give to the tsar'? NOOO THAT CANNOT BE

Putin is not some usurper who the population wants to get rid of. He is the embodiment of the russian soul and he is widely loved, it is simply their way of being a country.

To lose "Putin" Russians need to rid themselves of their slave mentality. Navalny only appeals to a small crowd

I get it. But Russia never had internet before. The internet is changing everything.

yeah peoples eyes are being opened to their bullshit.

On the other hand tho, America has internet and people still support trump even tho he blatantly lies to them
He lost tho. All Trump was is an alternative. That's it. That's the only reason he got votes.

4 years was enough and now he's gone.

That's what countries like ours dream of :(
