Of course when you store an explosive material in a busy port for 7 years it’s so convenient to blame it on an outside force. Lebanon is very close to a being a failed state so he’s just saving his ass IMO.
So either Trump knew because the perpetrators told him, which makes it idiotic that he said that out loud, or he was talking out of his ass. I think the latter is more likely but either one is not really good for him.

Agree on Trump. I just mentioned the other possibility as merely a possibility. It’s unlikely.
The historical figure I think Trump is most similar to is William Jennings Bryan, except of course the eloquence.
