Witcher has a great world but the combat is pretty shit. DS, Bloodborne, Sekiro and other games have set a different standard there.

BG is a great game. Character development & the story are great. Whoever likes RPGs and DND shouldn't skip it surely, it's one of the best releases. What they did with a small budget is insane compared to multi billion dollar companies that always end up producing shit games.

I don't think the combat in Witcher is shit. It's not amazing. But in terms of a vast RPG with tons of different mechanics, it is one piece in a larger whole. Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro, these are all FROM games where the combat IS the game. The story, atmosphere, emotional build up, and even to some degree the environments are scaled back compared to Witcher 3 imo. And none of those games are open world to the degree of Witcher.

Not that they're not amazing games, FROM is my top 3 devs ever, but for me its comparing apples to baseballs.

MGS 3 is my favourite, so I will probably get it. But it's a bit depressing how so much is about remakes of series/movies/games. I would rather have a new MGS than a remake. And I want the new one to be similar 3 and 4, focusing on the narrative rather than MGS 5. Although the core of the story in the latter had potential.

I'd also prefer a new MGS although I'm not sure what else they could do. Reverse Solid Snake's aging? Pick up from MGS5 and connect it to MG1? I also prefer story driven MGS but base building was kinda fun in MGS5 - the story was terrible though - too Hollywoodesque. I felt like I was watching an episode of 24.

Nobody wants a new MGS to be honest. You think you want one and it sounds good in spirit but you really don't when you think hard about it. Every creative mind behind the best MGS are gone or doing their own, crazy, "The future is a FedEx simulator" thing. If Konami tried to make a new MGS it would be such a bastardized, convoluted, disgusting version of MGS that it would ruin MGS canon, ruin MGS characters, and taint the MGS legacy.

It's better this way, trust me.
