That's true for a lot of heterosexual people as well. He at least has the self-awareness to know that. Many don't.

But that doesn't necessarily mean all gay people are just like him and therefore his assumptions for himself extend to every gay person out there, since they are all just like him.

By unfit I mean financially unstable, psychologically unstable, physically unable, or anything else that might jeopardise the physical or psychological development of the child. The sexual practices of the parents, which have nothing to do with their relationship to the child, do not fall under any of these categories.

We've come on in leaps and bounds in recent years. From 1993 decriminalisation to 2011 civil partnership to 2012 full blown gay marriage. The older generation are the ignorant ones but try as they might, they can't defeat the will of the people and human rights. The youth embrace everybody pretty much, except the gypsies

It's one of few things I'm very proud of about this country. Society itself, has been pro-gay or rather pro-tolerance for decades before the legislation however.


I'm more concerned about the poor having children than gays.

If it is proven that they can provide a stable and loving home for the child, then yes. They might be discounted if partners are switched frequently, but this is only because adoption services like to provide stability and continuity for the child in question, not because of prejudices against sexual practices. Just as if a couple were about to be divorced and the woman was trying to then adopt on her own, preference would be given to a couple, heterosexual or homosexual. At least that is how it worked in England when I worked in adoption.

Simply astounding. In the bigger picture it's not taking the opportunity away from a gay couple to have a child that disturbs me, but robbing a child the opportunity of having people who truly care for him or her.

To the anti-gays: what if a couple decides to have a child using an egg donor? They're "expanding the human race" after all...

But having a child that wakes up in the middle of night and sees his father in the living room siting on... his father, is just Poor children and their unformed brains.

Like its much better for a child to see his mother and father doing the same thing. That should be avoided regardless of the sexuality of the couple.

And I don't mind that, as long as my eyes don't see them. I hope they stay in their basements if that makes them happy, it's enough for me. But having that public and watching that is too much, it should be a crime and worth of jail.

I don't want us to be compared with animals you see, we are the ones that carry and pass on intelligence, make new generation. Gay couples are useless for society.
