He does that by terrifying them. He tortured and let a whole village rape Tyrion's wife. He's a bastard through and through, noting admirable of him.

And Robb was not dumb, he was betrayed by men who broke all the rules and laws, since they could not beat him in the field.
Nope, he was dumb. He lacked foresight. He himself broke his oath to marry his wife, which was tremendously stupid.

Politics are quite nasty and you have to forget about morality, love and honor to survive in that kind of world.

You don't like, I get that, but wth was he supposed to do? He couldn't do shit, but he escaped without breaking his principles.
Not breaking his principles? That would only make sense if he faked his love to Ygritte.

Dude, they didn't go there uninvited with the "lets see what happens attitude". They were going to make amends and negotiate continuing an alliance. You don't kill people bearing the white flag. Unless you're a sick fuck which Frey was.
After breaking such an oath, at the same wedding which was supposed to be his. He shouldn't have even broke the oath in the first place, but that's something else.

Frey's thoughts are that the Starks broke and oath to them, so he was within his rights to break an oath back. As horrible as his actions at the wedding were, Frey did everything that was asked of him and Robb made him look like a fool.

Robb knew he was taking a chance by going there, but it was a chance he had to take. After he lost the Carstarks, he didn't have the army to continue the war without Frey's support.

Yeah, which I find odd compared to the beginning - I actually find it stupid. But I like his characters development, though.
He probably saw himself how it is to be threat like a pig while in first season he was a clean fuck. But either way, I do like him a lot after these episodes, it made his character very interesting.

He shouldn't have broke his oath true, but he couldn't know he would be betrayed by his own bannerman and a man who invited him to his house as a guest. You people are neglecting some serious facts.

Maybe. The way he acted in the first seasons - I understand that - the attempt to kill an innocent child, it's just too much.

I was surprised when it was Roose out of all who killed him, yeah. It would be nice to show a meeting between him and the Lannisters in the future.

He had to survive. You just find him an idiot, cause you don't like him, but you praise the Lannisters and says it's understandable Robb died. His wife and unborn child deserved to die too?
I like Jon, you idiot. :D I thought it was a dick move by him.

These are all people who broke their oath to the Iron Throne to follow Robb in the first place. Frey even mentions his oath to the King in the second season when Catlyn Stark comes to him to work out the details of this marriage with Robb. She says something about the oath Frey took to her father, his liege and lord of Riverrun and Frey reminds her that he also swore an oath to the King.

When it comes to real power, oaths go out the window. Frey has now positioned himself as the Kings man in the Riverlands and Bolton has done the same in the North, it would seem. The Starks and the Tully's are being pushed out and the vacuum is going to be filled by the Boltons and the Freys.

Best and worst at the same time. I love the show and hate it after what I've seen today.

All in all it's surely the best show ever made but it's the worst show to follow if you care for characters .

addition: The Red Wedding murders were obviously the price that Frey and Bolton had to pay to the Iron Throne to be forgiven for their treason and allowed back into the fold. This was all the brainchild of Tywin Lannister.

Fuck off, Klin :D
I just think I'm a bit annoyed after this great great episode. The cynicism and dishonesty is winning (- Danearys story) and I really hate it.

Danearys isn't without treachery, remember in season one Ser Jorrah plotted to have her killed for King Robert so that he could be pardoned and allowed to return to Westeros. He didn't go through with it, he stopped it at the last moment. But he also has not yet told her of his treachery.

Cat was stupid btw. She noticed something is wrong the moment the music started yet did nothing for the next 5 minutes. Also did she really expect Frey to care about some random wife of his? Cat should have attacked the old fucker himself and cut his eyes out before cutting his dick and making him choke on it.
