Jaime is apparently supposed to be the junior version of the badass that turned Ned and his men to shreds. Ser Dayne was the one who knighted/tutored Jaime.

But the series has been too busy with just talking about his warrior rep in passing, mainly busy with the incest/rebellious son/feared oathbreaking kingslayer routine.

I really hope HBO decides to let Jaime show us viewers how bad ass Jaime is.

One thing I never understood was why the Bolton's never suffered consequences from the Lannisters for taking Jaime's hand (remember that it was the badass Bolton dude who was killed at Crastors keep). Did I miss something there?

Honestly thought that that was easily the best episode since a long time ago.

Watch littlefinger kill jon snow and get the throne
Easily the best character around now that Stannis is gone :D But got a feeling that he won't be around that much longer, he's done well enough for him anyways considering where he started. Lived the Westerosi dream to the fullest.

Well he was basically captured by the enemy - plus the Bolton's more than paid them back with the Red Wedding I'd say.

not without batting an eye. He definitely seemed very conflicted when the guy started crying and begging for his life even though he totally had to do it considering Slynt and the other dissenters were becoming a clear danger.
Well he does know now what awaits them...nothing.

Nice irony as well there, if intended or not, Jon Snow after coming back from the dead literally knows nothing.

Yeah the only fight we got was with Ned in season one before he got crippled.

That is a good point but it still seems that the Bolton's would have complied with the Lannisters plot regardless.

It just seems like an untied story thread

@piotrr do the books have to say anything about this?

But in any case, it's not that important imo - the show would actually suffer a lot if it kept up with such minor things, in terms of pacing.

What an overrated series
Based on how many episodes have your passed this judgement?

They took his hand before the lannister alliance was made public, once alliance is made all is forgotten type of deal

It was more detailed in the books. Basically, this group that captured Jaime was on Bolton's side (and Bolton's were on Robb's ), they were major pricks tho, like in the show. Their commander suspects that Roose might have some deal with Lannisters, so he orders to cut Jaime's hand, hoping that the blame will fall on Roose (= destroying his relations with Lannisters). Then Roose comes and promises to free Jaime if he'll forget about this 'unfortunate' episode. He frees him, but he already has a deal with Lannisters that Jaime doesn't know about. (=Red Wedding).

When did Daenerys' storyline lost all its drive and turned into a boring piece of shit?

Oh I know
when she got an epic ass army and didn't do anything with it. Got the army and her advisors ripped apart in a shithole civil war she shouldn't have been concerned about in the first place.

GoT is now paying the price of having all the powerful characters perish. Ned Stark, Bobby B, Tywin, Drogo, Robb, Stannis, Bolton gave us the feeling that serious shit was about to go down.

Now the show is reduced to having three and a half worthwhile characters and a dozen of children nobody wants to see.
Yea it's tough to emulate every detail of the book, planning on reading them either this summer or whenever the release date of the seventh book gets set.

Olly :tuttosport:

What happend to Lord Umber's father?
Executed by Rob Stark after Lord Umber murdered the two lannister kids they were holding hostage.

Ser Arthur Dayne was cool, but him and his fellow knight, what were they? Targyrean elite guards/kinsguard? (it wasnt specifically said, but assume so) I found their emblem very peculiar, 3 dragons. Will see that emblem down the line again I presume.
Think Kingsguard, best of the best

im a frey btw (the worst family in the show but i couldnt say no :D).
At least we'll be seeing the freys again, its been quite a while.
