I bet they are trained for battles not guerrilla fighting. US Army was elite in Vietnam but it got rekt by Vietnamese guerrila tactics.

When it comes to Unsullied they use spears which are quite weak in situations of ambush or tight places (like a few episodes ago). It's like the "fockin legend" said in season 3 or 4. Daggers >>>>> swords and spears in city combat.
:agree: In essos there is mostly desert so their formations can hold their own there hence the recognition . Still I believe that for the sake of plot while they suck today they will start being good in westeros

They are fighting in a hot, desert climate. They would get cooked alive in full armor.
Not saying neccesarily full plate , but the guys of the harpy are better armored imho .

Not based on the show, on the show, Unsullied gets butchered by rioting amateur rebels.

Dany need to feed her dragons alot for them to get big and ready for Westeros, clearly these Unsullied are a joke according to the showrunners.
Imho the only way I see that happening is in case of a timeskip . Don't know if it will be done in the show , but I am farily confident that it will happen in the books .

The time when your elite mercenaries (who were so badass that their owner wanted the payment of dragons for them lol) are so inequipped to protect you that you close your eyes and give up, dreaming that your long estranged baby dragon will come and save lol

I still don't get it :D
Khaleesi literally brought 25 soldiers with her as escort. Suddenly 500 allahuakbars with masks appear, soldiers manage to keep her alive, make a circle around her, don't let 500 allahuakbars get near her, kill off some of them heavily outnumberd. I don't understand what ppl expected them to do.

Yeah the circle formation is only time they did well :D I was just joking (before it it was Jorah and Daarios who kept her alive). And yeah Dany and her advisers are dumb fvcks, what did they expect.

Didnt like this episode apart from the Stannis part it was poor. Am i the only one that thought the end of the episode was the most cringeworthy thing ever?

And as someone else already said i am convinced Ollie is going to kill Jon Snow or at least try.
No. It was awful.

Fuck you Stannis, Fuck you very much. You were my favourite with Jon, but this was too much, go get your throne and be governed by the red fire God with their everlasting rewards thats granted only when you did their bidding. But you will have zero sympathy or understanding from me from here on out.

Rest of the episode was meh, the two funny dialogue lines were already mentionned lol, its good that the badass Dragon finally came to save Dany, even if whole scene seemed sloppy, its nice to finally show what Dany's real strenght is, her dragons, not the hyped up most elite force of all time unsullied who are CANNON FODDER TO RICH CIVILIAN FUCKS WITH DAGGERS AND IN MASKS. Ugh, most worthless army ever.

I was even looking forward to seeing the Boltons curbstomped next episode, but it loses alot of its flavour after what Stannis did to his own little daughter.
The Sons of the Harpies are also consisting of former pit fighters, they're not just some random rich guys.
Although I still have major problems with the whole fight choreography, as I did with the scene where Barristan died.

And I know that that's seriously fucked up, but Stannis did the right thing. It's a classic trolley dilemma, and he's chosen to save the many.

Keep in mind of course that the visions have shown him and Melisandre that he is the oly one able to save Westeros from the White Walkers. He's not doing what he's doing for glory or power, but because he has every reason to believe that it's the only way to save the whole freaking continent. And in contrast to Ramsey for example, who tortures dozens of people for shits and giggles, or Roose and most other Westerosi leaders, who don't really give a fuck about all the harm they inflict on others, Stannis was shown to be extremely conflicted and pained by his decision. He hates himself for it, but from everything he knows, it had to be done.

That whole scene was.. Not to mention illogical.
And she just leaves Jorah, Tyrion & Co. behind :howler:

Btw, that's number 256 on the list of usually fatal situations Tyrion has survived due to pure luck or wonky reasons.
