assuming, in first look, he does not look better than Tiago (price and experience), neither does he look like Poulsen, his international experience his higher too. So we should not rate him so much then get disapointed. Marchisio was a rock for the whole season.

I'm not saying that he is bad or whatever, but he does not fucking deserve 18 mil Euro, that's just too much for a 27 year old who hasn't shown much so far...
And they rate a talent like Giovinco only 9 mil (not even that) arsenal would 20 mil for him!
I know what you mean, but you can't compare him with Poulsen since he is a completely different type of player than him and Tiago was brought here not as a regista but as a CM in our 4 men midfield.

Last year when we were using the 4-4-2 formation and with the quantity of midfielders we had, it didn't make any sense to bring D'Agostino to our squad. Now that we are going to use the 4-3-1-2 (as confirmed by Ciro), it makes absolutely perfect sense that we need a regista in front of our defense line to give that single pass to Diego/Giovinco and let them do their job as they know and hopefully by this we won't see those boring long balls from our defense to the forwards.

So, you'd buy him only to give a pass, marchisio is a great passer. so is, Zannetti and Poulsen, I admit Dago is an excellent player but he is a luxury, and we don't need luxury, we need to fullfill our needs first CB, LB, RB, after that we may add him to our squad, otherwise it would be another failure!!! same as it was last year with Amauri...
Our defense was shit, and having in sqaud three great strikers, Iaquinta, delpiero and Trezeguet they added one more, and they fucked up everything.
So it's not a mistake to make a mistake, it's a mistake to keep repeating same mistakes. So if we don't improve defense then, Diego's transfer will make no sense, giovinco's more playing time will make no sense either...
So pleaseeeeee defense

So now Amauri was a mistake? Yeah right, we would have managed alot playing Coppa, Serie A and Champions League with only 2 strikers (since Trezeguet was injured for 3/4 of the season). And not forgetting that in the first half of the season had won us many games.

I only gave an important example when i said that. Of course I wouldn't use him to make a single pass. He was the best tackler last season as well.

Buffon
Zebina Cannavaro Chiellini Grosso
D'Agostino
Marchisio Sissoko
Diego
Amauri Del Piero

I could live with that next season.

Have to disagree, I love Claudio but there is no way we can call him a great passer, not yet at least and Zanetti is by far a better passer.

lol, ciro is not going to play that kind of football with great long passes as Ranieri did (of course he didn't) so Marchisio, Sissoko, and Zanneti doesn't have to make long passes, as long as they have gio and Diego in front... So all they have to do it's a short pass to those guys... :D

all I want is to improve our defense, i don't want Juve to get fucked from those bottom table teams like chievo, catania and whatever... We can't allow that this season, and it's too bad i see that happening, as long we have cannavaro and don't buy any good LB or RB, we do need santacroce :)

We can just dream of seeing Gio and Diego playing together

I agree with you,if you take a look at last season,he gave only one killer pass to Iaq,and his passing was waaaay inconsistent lasy year. He has other qualities than passing but looking only at passing D'Ago is a USS Enterprise....

Milan fans did dream of Ronaldinho and Kaka playing together and it didn't work because their positioning was too similiar and even Ancelotti couldn't manage with it, so it isn't a guaranteed success.

Yes, D'Ago should play in front of the defence and Momo in central midfield, because Momo is not a holding midfielder who can dictate the play (he gives away too many balls), but rather a box-to-box destroyer.

Actually I think it didn`t success as Ronaldinho is a player that needs the role of carrying the team on his back while at Milan he didn`t exactly has that role with Kaka and Pirlo taking much of the responsibility themselves+ Ronaldinho is not the same as he was while playing with Barca.
Maybe now that Kaka has gone Milan would rely on him more and it would make him more influential but just maybe

Diego is a player who is at his peak much of the responsibilty would obviously go to him and with Gio playing with him too I can just imagine that it would be 3 attacking midfielders which means 4-5-1 with Gio on the left and Diego on the center which I doubt that we are going to see it happen since we only have Camo for the RAM position with no backup
but with Diego at CAM Gio at LAM and someone new (RAM) or a good backup for Camo at this position and I can see both players (Gio Diego) play together and succeed

TBH i think that we are the one who play hardball now not them which is good we are showin' character here.... Udinese will suffer a lot with a player who wants to leave, not us!!! we will search for another one and that's the football u lose player go for another one no problem with that!!!

I have to agree with klin17 about having D'Ago (if we should get him) to play the anchor role in front of the back-4. Sissoko should be allowed more freedom where he can go sliding around and make galloping runs to the opposition box. D'Ago will be a better link-up for midfield and defense and can deliver more accurate long passes.

Kaka actually said that presence of Ronaldinho on the pitch moved him from his favourite postion, where he then couldn't perform at his best. I don't think that we'll use the 4-2-3-1 formation often, problably only if because of suspensions and injuries we are left with one or two strikers and if at the same time Camoranesi is ready to play. That said, if we consider Giovinco as Del Piero's replacement, I don't know if it works in analogy to Milan, where Ronaldinho, a left winger who is used to cutting inside (like Giovinco) couldn't combine with trequartista (Kaka/Diego) and was getting in his way. Of course it can result in a magical partnership, which I hope, but then again, I am sure that someone like Camoranesi put in 4-3-2-1 nearer the right wing would suit Giovinco better, like in Giovinco-Rossi partnership for Azzurrini. We'll see.

Gio as a second striker I don`t think that it is his best position his finishing isn`t good enough and as seen last season when he played that role he wasn`t at his best
He was at his best while playing AML against Chelsea
