He seems extremely composed on the ball, physically strong enough to get stuck in with the adults, a lovely left foot, and also like most brazilians, turns very quickly, with the ball at his feet, and is hard to steal the ball from. Some quality passing also...very encouraging, and against at least 2 decent teams also, in flamengo and vasco

When do resende finish their brazilian league???...as I assume that is when we can officialy sign Gabriel and his brother????? Its more complicated than i thought to try understand the leagues and cups, promotions and relegations in Brazil.

Resende play in the Carioca - Copa Guanabara - Group A, alongside the likes of fluminese, but i see fluminese also play in the BRASILEIRO...the latter is the top brazilian league??? and the copa, is a cup competition, but in a large table format??? if resende are not in the BRASILEIRO, then where are they, league wise??? any explanation is gratefuly appreciated...as i wish to learn more of Gabriel especially, what levels he has played at, for how long, and with which other teams. Vasco FLamengo I know of, and they are in the carioca - copa guanbara group A, with resende...and also in the BRASILEIRO ...please help.

The more I watch his video clips, the more I am amazed...AT 17 years old, which we simply MUST bear in mind, he seems not just equal to our presently best midfield hatchetman, Melo, but also seemingly more comfortable on the ball itself, than our regista of last season, Aquilani. Truly I hope that he is going to be included in the first team, because the admittedly small amount I have seen of him, makes him seem like instantly...a complete midfielder. Able to tackle, keep the ball, read the play to intercept, distribute the ball intelligently...who can boast such an array of skill in our present midfield???

Very good but he needs to build more muscles. Serie A is much more agressive I think.

Skills like in that video in his age is rare indeed. There are signs of him becoming the next big thing already, keep it up and work hard! :)

The steering wheel Gabriel Appelt showed that it was worth all the investment made by Resende on his football. Dealt with Juventus recently, the revelation was elected player of the Carioca Championship by the Football Federation of the State of Rio de Janeiro The trophy was received in the closing ceremony of the competition, Monday, at Vivo Rio Gabriel, 17, he was also voted the second best half of the competition, behind only Thiago Neves, highlight of the awards. Happily, the player who has performed medical examinations in Italy, Resende thanked the opportunity to have so much joy in so little time career.

I have no words to explain, I'm happy to receive these awards. Thanks first to my family who always supported me, and then to the Resende who believed in me and gave me the opportunity today to be one of the biggest clubs in Europe that is Juventus. I am eternally grateful and cherish all the people who were part of history, partners, managers and also my coach Paulo Campos. I will work seriously to keep evolving in Italy and conquering my goals, said Gabriel.

The man is getting some serious awards. A player who wins awards like that should be good enough not to be loaned out, right?

We need a back-up option for Pirlo, and could that not be Gabriel?? he looks beautifully composed on the ball, able to dictate pace, tackle and pass long and short intelligently...
