I am not a fan of Inler, but he is better than all the midfielders we have (except Melo). If we are going for Inler, then I wonder why we brought Pirlo, when we have Melo, Marchisio. not to forget Sissoko too, and are we really buying Pazienza?
if we get inler, pirlo is aqua replacement. And if we get rid of melo we deserve to be out of europe again.

pirlo provides versaility, for example he can play as a regista, or as a trequartista. something none of our other midfielders offer
but why all the center midfielders, when we will play 4-4-2 and will use only two of them?

we can't be that stupid to sell Melo, but I won't be surprised if we do :sergio:

who thinks melo and pirlo in 2-cm setup could work? i am kind of exploring this idea.
Melo and Inler will be great. Not sure about Pirlo, I would use Pirlo as a back up only..

How much he will earn btw, pirlo?

Melo has a weak positioning and he likes too much to go further on the pitch when he shouldn't. It could be a problem. I'd rather use alongside Pirlo a natural DM like Sissoko, but better and also a bit more gifted technically.

Then, pirlo would play as bad as the last two years
he did not play in a 2-cm midfield with milan.

depends on the offers we might receive.

melo and inler? not enough playmaking skills for my liking. sound defensively but lack the creative aspect.

You're saying Sissoko is more positionally disciplined than Melo?

What's the big deal? You won't be able to get an in depth analysis but you can get an idea of how Conte likes to run his team.
Not if they play poorly you can't, or if they play their best match of the season. Then if they bottle it and their tactical game collapses, people will call it a failure and start to question why we hired the guy based on one single match. It's the friggin' herd mentality. And on top of that, he might not even deploy the same tactics!

Pazienza either replaces Sissoko or Melo, which is absolutely retarded in any case.

Pretty much. I can't understand why we'd want to sell him, he was more consistent than Marchisio or Aquilani this year, but whatever. We like to shoot ourselves in the foot especially when we're drooling over the yet another new Tardelli in Inler.

You don't have a "holding" midfielder in a Sissoko - Pirlo midfield. You have a roaming regista along with soccer's version of Ndamukong Suh except virtually useless now.

Sissoko is not a football player, he's a headless chicken wearing boots.

No. I'm saying I'd rather get a DM who usually prefers to sit back than going forward to play alongside Pirlo. I don't wanna watch our team surprised by the counters.

I didn't say I want Sissoko, btw.

You said "a natural DM like Sissoko". Sissoko is much more likely to go roaming all over the place than Melo is.

we don't know what will happen. pazienza might or not be bought. he could also serve as cm depth. remember we might not sign aquilani. and sissoko could be sold and it wouldn't hurt too much as long as we get a decent replacement and i think inler could be one.

Melo and Inler not enough in playmaking? These duo will probably be the best in terms of playmaking CMs we ever had in this century..

Pazienza will be stupid indeed.. and I am losing patience on Marchisio too, but we have to keep him for another season, unless we receive a crazy offer from Inter..

I disagree with the entire premise in signing Pazienza. For whatever purpose it might be, he's not good enough for the team and any deep backup should come from a younger talent. It's not like we have European football to worry about and need a large squad. If we aren't complete trash this year we can evaluate our squad depth next year for Europe because right now, that shit isn't the issue. Quality is.

I really don't see any way Pirlo can work in a two-man midfield.
Agreed.
