Wesley Sneyder my ****ing hell! I'm going to ask him if I can be his bodyguard so I can make sure he doesn't get hurt before Euro2004 :D

Terrific play! And might I add we may have actually found the ideal defence - and without Stam!

Superb match from both ends, especially the first twenty minutes after the break were quite exciting!

This I can be proud of, I have no problem saying that :touched::cool:

Martin - you would have liked this match. No serious fouls and LOTS of technical skills displayed in great together play. Real football but perhaps a tad boring for people who aren't into football as much and who can't appreciate the play more than the goals.

Well you broke their winning streak, that's something at least. :)
At least? I'm extatic about this performance! Finally I saw a team play!

Especially our golden duo was mouthwatering again:

    From Eurosport's live text commentary
52' Holland looking more likely to break the deadlock...the young Ajax connection of Sneijder and van der Vaart causing problems.
    :touched:

The Irish beat the Czechs.. :dazed:
Oh my god :dazed: Good thing they're not going to Portugal, I have the WC qualification round still fresh in memory :scared:

He pulled out due to a minor injury :( Wanted him to play, see how our defence would cope with that master!

Hey, I just stated I was extatic about the result. When was the last time you heard me say THAT concerning the NT? ;)

Judging by the way you were going on about the match I was under the impression you watched it live! Then again, I'm high on several things right now so I could be imagining that.

BTW, I do have one complaint: 3 times the linesman waved for off-side when it clearly wasn't the case! Guess I was naive expecting anything else from that GERMAN weasel :fero:

Other than that it was the best match of 2004 so far. The details. Technical display. Great stuff! :D

i was reading live commentary :D

usually when a linesman is flag-happy it means he is nervous and rightly so- the dutch are to be feared

so will stam feature in the coming games you think or will the back line be repeated?

I suspect tonight's backline (Melchiot-Heitinga-Cocu-Zenden) will remain for the large part but you really can't ignore Stam so once he's fit again Cocu will probably be replaced and moved to the midfield. If there's room for him there, that is.
