well the Italians only have themselves to blame, in a country which is a deterrence to foreign investors and ridiculous tax rates
Well i can see why investors wouldnt want to invest in Serie A teams ,but just FYI tax rates are almost equal if not even higher in France than in Italy.

Infact there was a report not too long ago that tax rate could rise up to 75% in France which is enormous to say the least.

Actually many Spanish and the mid-table/lower French teams are broke as fuck. Some are even worse than Italian teams in terms of finances. They are actually better off raiding them as they could be available for fairly reasonable prices as opposed to the lower Italian clubs for example who love to put up inflated price tags on upcoming players.

I dint actually mean to say this would harm in Serie A in terms of player exodus but in terms of co-efficient points(which could be possible in the long run).I dont want Ligue 1 to surpass Serie A.It really would be embarrassing if that were to happen.

Here's what i was referring to when i was talking about the broke situation of some Spanish clubs.

European authorities prepare to halt public funding of debt-ridden clubs.

In a move that threatens to provoke the partial collapse of a football system built on unsustainable piles of debt, competition authorities in Brussels want Spain's government to explain why it has allowed clubs to build up vast, unpaid tax and social security debts.

With many clubs in the top two divisions already having trouble paying bank debts totalling some €3.5bn (£3bn), the move would likely force some clubs into liquidation. Historic names such as Deportivo de La Coruña or Racing Santander could simply disappear. Other top clubs, such as Valencia, will have to sell players and face years of decline.

Indignant MEPs are already demanding to know why Spain is happy to request €40bn in aid from eurozone taxpayers for its banks while allowing the clubs to build up a tax debt of €692m.

Interesting article i found on Monaco :

Monaco 'survival under threat' by new fiscal rules
MONACO — AS Monaco say a decision by the French League (LFP) that will force the side to set up their fiscal residence in France "threatens their survival" and will be vehemently opposed.
The club's base in the Mediterranean principality allows them to benefit from the favourable tax laws in place there, rather than the stricter French laws which include plans to tax earnings over 1 million euros ($1.3m, £853,000) at 75 percent.
While their rivals will be pleased with the change, voted through by the LFP's Council of Administration on Wednesday just at a time when Monaco look set to re-emerge as a major force, the reaction in the principality was very different.
In a statement released on Friday, Monaco expressed their "astonishment" at the decision to alter the rules, which will come into effect as of June 1 2014, and criticised the LFP for not listening to their views.
They added: "While AS Monaco are working on an ambitious development project which will serve the greater interests of French football as a whole, this decision destabilises the club and the team in the middle of the season.
"This decision threatens the survival of AS Monaco, who could be excluded from French and European competition."
Seven-time French champions and Champions League runners-up in 2004, Monaco were relegated in 2011 but a takeover later that year by Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev has revitalised the club.
Under Italian coach Claudio Ranieri, they currently sit top of Ligue 2, four points clear of Nantes, and seem certain to return to the top flight next season.
Very interesting..

Roberto Mancini has been offered a £170m transfer fund to take a gamble and move to Monaco next season.

Russian billionaire owner Dmitry Rybolovlev tried to lure the Manchester City boss to the Cote d’Azur last year.

Now, the man ranked the 97th richest in the world by Forbes has returned with a stunning new offer of that vast kitty for signings, plus a three-year deal worth £22m in wages.

Rybololev is determined to take the Monte Carlo club back into the Champions League and challenge the Qatari-backed Paris Saint-Germain’s position as the kings of French football.

Mancini's fellow Italian Carlo Ancelotti is the boss at the PSG.

After winning the title last year, Mancini agreed a new deal until 2017, but his side are out of Europe, way behind leaders Manchester United in the league and have only the FA Cup to play for this season.

Mancini was furious at losing out to United over Arsenal's Robin van Persie in last summer’s transfer window, and it the Dutch striker’s goals that look set to see neighbours United regain the Premier League title.

While Mancini insists he retains the support of City owner Sheihk Mansour, their failure to progress from the group stage of the Champions League for the second year running was a major disappointment for the club.

Mancini has fought a very public battle to talk up his achievement of turning the Eastlands outfit into a team of winners after their 42-year wait for a trophy.

However, the growing influence of technical director Txiki Begiristain and chief executive Ferran Soriano, both recruited from Barcelona, has cast doubt over his future although the Italian boss maintains there are no problems with their relationship.

Moving closer to his homeland - and to the Mediterranean coast - would be an option if he feels he is not getting the backing of the club in the transfer market again this summer.

Monaco are poised to gain promotion from Ligue 2 under the guidance of Claudio Ranieri, who only took over last summer.

Former France coach Laurent Blanc, who has not worked since Euro 2012, is also a candidate for the job.

Paris St Germain, France's richest football club, will have more on its agenda than controlling Lionel Messi when it takes on Barcelona, arguably the world's best team, tonight.

PSG's Qatari owners also have the tax man to think about. After conflicting messages by government officials, Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault's office issued a statement on Tuesday confirming that a 75% surcharge on salaries above one million euros (US$1.3 million) will apply to football clubs.

"This new tax will cost first-division teams 82 million euros," France's Football League said in a statement. "With these crazy labour costs, France will lose its best players, our clubs will see their competitiveness in Europe decline, and the government will lose its best taxpayers."

At least 12 members of the Paris team make more than one million a year, according to France Football magazine. They include Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 15 million euros a year, and Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti, at 12 million euros.

Former England captain David Beckham would escape the tax because his five-month stint at PSG does not qualify him as a French tax resident. While Beckham is football's best-paid player with 36 million euros this year, only 5% of that comes from salary, according to France Football.

President Francois Hollande made the 75% tax a cornerstone of his successful presidential campaign last year, saying the wealthiest had to make a special contribution toward cutting France’s deficit.

i read elsewhere that this will also apply with Monaco which is seen as a tax haven
