Not really. As Ken says, it's not a bad track for overtaking. It's just that everyone spread out a bit, I think. I'm not sure - I missed the last 15 laps or so.

Ah now, that's a challenging section for drivers. If it's all straights, the quicker straight-line cars would just win. You might as well just go watch Nascar. And I suspect it was so bumpy mainly because it was new.
It's spread out because everyone starts with a heavy car and ends with a light one. Now, we see people's true colours in qualifying, which is great, but puts them exactly in order of pure speed on the grid for the race. Apart from the fact that some cars perform better when heavy or light, or on the soft/hard compound tires, there is no strategy involved, which makes differences in speed smaller all over the track.

First guy will always have the same amount of weight on board as the 2nd, but will be a bit faster. Third guy has the same weight, but he's a bit slower.. etc etc. So basically you will have a train of cars, and there's a certain gap between the cars consistently ( apart from tires ) all the way through the race.

I expect good battles on the track, because we have more 'top' teams and drivers, but it will probably be less spectacular overall this year.

That section is really bumpy and I'm guessing they might fix it for next year, but for now it was basically wrecking cars and it's a bit of track where you can't overtake at all. The track is great as it was imo. But at the same time I don't really mind it either. It's nothing special though.

About the straights, they're obviously boring if there's too many, but they're great spots for overtaking. Take a different line and take more speed out of a corner onto the straight and the slip stream does the rest. Obviously, there's a few teams who simply lack power to do so, but it's the classic way to overtake.

Vettel, boom! Nicely done by Red Bull once again, what a team they're become.

They're making things alot more interesting since last year.

HAHAHA Hamilton, can't believe how funny that was. Terrific drive by Alonso in the final laps, I loved the way he went onto the grass for a second to kick some dirt onto Lewis.

I feel sorry for poor Vettel. He's a great little driver, is pretty entertaining out of the cockpit (without being an ass), but he has no luck with his car. If he ever gets to drive something which isn't made of tissue paper and tears, he'll be world champion in no time flat.

Button rather had it handed to him - only three cars out there were capable of matching his: Vettel's dodgy brakes and Hamilton and Webber's erratic driving meant that he didn't have to do much to win. Still, he brought it home without incident, which is more than half the drivers out there could say.

Great result for Ferrari. They never looked fast enough for a 3,4 finish, but better race tactics and solid driving did it for them. You have to give Kubica and to a lesser extent Rosberg credit for outperforming their cars too.

Hamilton seemed a bit petulent - he went on team radio to question the decision to change his tires, which did seem to be the wrong decision in the end, but that certainly shouldn't have been aired in public. He was in that position in the first place because he wasn't driving well, and if he doesn't cop on, he might start wearing patience thin at McLauren.
