Every big team gets a little ref help, isn't it what you were saying to me?
This year Inter got 5 penalties for and 7 penalties against them. They got whooping 7 red cards (not counting the coach's red cards, only the players) while their opponents got 4 (on their matches against Inter).

Now, just by looking at the numbers one could say that perhaps all these calls (penalties +red cards) were justified. Some of them indeed were. As someone who watched most of Inter's matches, I know that some of these calls weren't.
But the bare fact that Inter got more calls (pen. +red cards) against them than in their favor excludes the ref help "all the big teams get" argument.

Milan got 8 penalties in their favor and only 2 penalties against them. Even without checking at all, I can tell you that at least 4 of these were dives, phantom penalties or very soft penalties. I remember offside goals they scored and clear goals not given against them.

Why are you using past seasons? Shall Juve be punished right now for the help we got in Moggi's time?
Hell, even last year Milan got more ref help than anyone else. We even had a thread about it in this forum.
Only this year should count and you're really biased if you don't see that the refs threat Inter and Milan differently.

And if the refs suddenly decided to be fair (Does this mean that Moratti doesn't "own" the refs anymore? What happened then in the meantime? He was fixing this league and suddenly it all changed?) why aren't they doing it with Milan?

Every team has the refs' help in their favor every so often. We had them too (after Calciopoli), some of which were scandalous. As I have never moaned about Inter getting those 50-50 calls in their favor, I'm not going to do it when it happens to Milan.

No question. But would you honestly want Inter to win the Scudetto again? It's blatantly obvious that they are the strongest team in Italy. Winning the Scudetto would only mean they'll get stronger, they'll become more stable and that can't be good for us. Milan, on the other hand, I am not too worried about. Their defense is laughable, they rely too much on Ronaldinho in attack. Their midfield is getting old, slow, and too predictable. If they win the scudetto, chances are they will actually believe that their pathetic squad is good enough and won't be making too many much needed changes.

In short, if Milan win the Scudetto, our rivals will probably get worse.

Agreed, I am no Beckham fan but I respect his passion and how much he cares for his NT in an era where so few players do. After joining the galaxy he could have just relaxed and taken the easy path, hanging out in LA and watching his bank account grow but instead he put in real effort on the pitch for a player of his age. Seeing him crying on the sideline was depressing, you don't have to be a professional football player to understand how upsetting it must be to him to miss out on this opportunity because of injury. His passion for the game and not just celebrity status is refreshing to see.
