At his age, Messi, Ronaldo, Fabregas, Ronaldo(Brazilian), Pato and too many others are/were hundred times better than him.

There's a reason why Lippi leaves him out, Mourinho keeps him out of the squad several times...it's not only because of his attitude but because they can do without his qualities.

Yeah, his obvious flaws which would make a team suffer at a world cup. Not because he hasn't got the ability to be top quality.

Amazed that anyone can claim he doesn't have the ability and potential to be one of the best strikers in the world.

The same reason he doesn't call Cassano.

BTW Balotelli for me is certainly one of the most irritating players around. Even watching him against Chelsea where he did some good things, but he came on and immediately he is sprawled across the pitch holding his face from a collision. Then he is getting into arguments with Mikel and other Chelsea players. He is an asshole who is antagonism personified. But, he is also a very good weapon for Mourinho to have off the bench in those sort of games because he not only has the ability to change a game but can also break it up very well with his antics, something Mourinho loves to do.

    Yes, there's a reason. It's Lippi.

IMO he's a better player than Pato. Ronaldo at his age was developing, Balotelli looks more mature on the pitch compared to young Ronaldo. No point to compare him with Fabregas anyhow.

I know what Dusan is saying, that he sees the game better, he has more attributes to his game (strength, skill, pace, passing, set pieces, vision), but Pato is a step ahead for what he has already done and his own fine attributes.
