Aha.
I think though that their interest in Kolarov is serious. He'll make them even more physical and more dangerous from the wings.
I hope they don't get him. They have in their plans to sign one World Class CB at the end of the season I think so I don't know who'd break that defense, especially if they had Kolarov and Maicon on the sides.

But if they do get him, I'd love to see us set our hands on Santon. He could cover both sides, he's young, very good player.

Tommorow's games start on 11:30 CET, is this a new timing for the 2nd part of the Calcio season?

In any case I love it

I've seen this transfer being downplayed in this forum, but, with all due respect, whoever does it is out of his fucking mind.
You have a player whose true worth is AT LEAST 15 million eur and Inter got him for free.
An attacker who takes on defenders, dribbles them, shines on big matches, can play as a support striker and a side player in 4-3-3 and makes things happen. True, he's not a great goal scorer (scored 14,19 and 15 goals in the last 3 seasons), but when you already have Eto'o and Milito, adding Pandev in the mixture is everything but "not great".

:agree: It's a fantastic piece of business by them.

And to make things worse, I read that Inter were already trying to buy him for years, they were offering 18 millions for him in August and 15 millions to buy him this January. Apparently Pandev's lawyers advised them that Pandev will win on court and it's better to wait instead of splashing the money :(

What will his salary looks like?
Nothing's official.
Before he signed he himself said that it's gonna be 3m eur +bonuses (normal bonuses every player gets for goals, assists, trophies etc).
Like I already said in another thread, for Inter that's not too much because 16 (or 17) other Inter players are getting 3m eur or more on wages.
But in Juve if he was being paid 3m a year, he was gonna be among the highest earners (well, when you see that Amauri gets 3.5 and Poulsen gets 3.3m, Pandev's 3m don't look too high).

I can't believe how awful Lotito handled this.

Here's an extract from an interview with Pandev:
Pandev said:
"I have wonderful years in Rome and I'm planning to buy a house there. That is where I became a man and a football player. My relationship with the whole environment was unique. There is a bond of respect and trust with everyone. Even with the president..."

Until when?
"Lotito was essential for me, otherwise I would return to Inter. So I choose to renew with Lazio and gave up a lot of money."

Then what happened?
"We went in the Champions League, I scored 5 goals, 3 at Real, it was a great year. I expected a renewal. Nothing. A year later. Nothing."

Why?
"I don't know. That's why I was depressed and felt betrayed. From that moment on, I have never felt at ease."
All Lotito had to do was to renew Pandev's contract (which was shamelessly low, only 0.45m eur a year). He didn't want to do that and he refused to sell him even for 18 million eur that were offered to him.
In the end he lost him for nothing.

You sure that he refused to sell because i just think there were no "decent" offers to Pandev. Don't think lettito is that stupid really...

Nope, Pandev himself says that Branca (Inter's Secco, I think) offered 18 million in August, 3 days before the transfer window closed. Other teams also offered 15 million or so, but Lotito kept repeating that he doesn't even want to talk unless ~25 million are offered.
Now, if 15-18 million isn't a decent offer, then you're right.

And even if one can understand Lotito for rejecting the previous offers, I don't get it why did he reject Inter's offer 3 days before the transfer window was closed, and then decided to punish Pandev and not let him play at all.

I read about the 18 mil offer but I can't find the source now. All I can find is this...

When asked why is he choosing Inter, Pandev said:
Pandev said:
"There are many valid reasons. The main one is they tried to buy me 3 days before the transfer season in August. Branca has offered a lot of money, despite my contract expiring in 10 months. And don't forget about what Mourinho said last summer. He said that he will never sell someone like me."
